We all think we know "what's good for the business" What's good for the business is putting on awesome, unpredictable PPVs, which is what we got tonight ............ It wasn't awesome, it was ruined. And I'm alright for unpredictability, but they've completely killed the monster they've spent 5 million bucks on. These kind of swerves are completely Vince Russo-esque, they are not good swerves, they are bad for business. This is part of the reason WCW went out of business. These sort of swerves are not liked, they make the crowd feel let down by not delivering on match. So next time a fan wants to buy a PPV, they'll think "why would I? I bought into it last time, and they let me down, why would I fall for it again?"

I actually bought this show tonight. I was actually saying to myself during the main event how Brock matches are going to be must-see or must-buy if they're going to book him so strong until he eventually loses at Mania or whatever. Now I have no real interest in seeing Brock fight. He's just another guy. He lost to the guy who lost to Lord Tensai and The Rock in the last month. There's nothing special about him anymore. As a great wrestler once said, in a Mmmmmbop, it's gone!

Maybe Vince and Trips just didn't think Brock knows how to work WWE Main Event Style anymore.

Everyone is forgetting the Lesnar is working very limited dates. Maybe now he goes away for a while, then comes back to get revenge on Cena, murdering him at RR, building to the final match at mania

If u had told me cena would win and after the match I wouldn't care at all I won't laugh in your face, but honestly that is exactly what happened. I loved every second of that match, Brock loss yes, but he dominated cena and cena needed a chain when Brock was flying in mid air, and stairs to do his finisher on to beat Brock. Brock came across like a bad mother fucker, came across as legimate like he should have, and honestly this Almost exactly like Brock vs Mir, and after that fight he still became the UFC heavyweight Champ and one of there biggest PPV draws in history, and my 2 friends that where watching with me HATE cena and Don't watch in part because of his superman bullshit and they where loving every minute.

Maybe now he goes away for a while, then comes back to get revenge on Cena, murdering him at RR, building to the final match at mania You have to start Lesnar strong. He JUST GOT BACK! Now he means nothing. He runs through Cena, maybe runs through Orton, then he basically says since he's the top guy he will only be showing up whenever he feels like it. He's this lingering presence towering over everything - he's the primary story arc. CENA is the one who goes away (aka Rocky in Rocky III, as someone said earlier) and eventually comes back to topple the monster, or something. Lord Tensai beat John Cena 2 weeks ago on Raw. Lord Tensai.

Not to mention how many times Cena was saved by the Ref being knocked out Come on guys, it's not like anyone did any clean jobs here

That's a top guy they can have in their pocket.

Brock destroyed Cena and then lost after being smacked in the head with a chain and slammed onto steel steps. I don't see how that is a "Russo" swerve at all. It was one of the most dramatic WWE main events in years. And not to sound like a dick, but when it comes down to it, I doubt WWE really cares about what people who openly admit to stealing their content think. "I streamed the show but I am outraged at what I saw"....I mean, do you see how utterly ridiculous posting something like that is? It's like me complaining because I illegally downloaded the newest Black Keys album and wasn't satisfied.

I love everyone is so obsessed with Brock losing they completely ignore the effect of Cena winning. Close to the entire arena was behind him by match end. Its laughable the idea that this killed Brock's drawing power.

Its laughable the idea that this killed Brock's drawing power. It also goes against the blind assumption that paying fans across the board were disappointed, considering fans in the arena certainly didn't seem upset at the finish and even gave Cena a strong ovation afterward. If people wanna make Rocky analogies, this was akin to the main event of Rocky IV, where there were fans that came around to the hated underdog by the time the fight ended.
