Jobbers matches really need to be brought back, dammit. Enhancement talent... I agree they should be brought back for a few reasons. Pro 1) It allows local talent some exposure on a higher talent level, 2) makes your beasts look beastly. 3) Makes even the worst guy on your roster look good since he beat someone. Con: People these days disbelieve anything if the guy isn't know, he'll lose which people don't really care to see. Ryback had pulled it off only because he was doing 2 and 3 on 1's and this made him look bigger strong, but still people clamoured for a real match. So while I agree I liked "jobber" matches, you also knew it was going to be a squash, probalem being also that with the short time span these days they now do need to devote all the time to building up the PPV, if you look at NxT I think their "specials" are the perfect amount of time between right now, 4-6 events a year seems to be what they are shooting for with a nice buildup between just like the old times of 4 PPV's a year that meant something!

4 PPVs a year was the best. Might be a nostalgia thing but I actually cared back then. Even in the first stages of IYH they still had fresh matches and storylines. I think the right way to bring back ENHANCEMENT TALENT SPORTING EVENTS would be to just further storylines for any of these matches. Take the Prime Time Players reuniting as an example. Then just go from there until people have adjusted to that method.

Two weeks but had 2 or so TV matches. I got them on cassette tape somewhere. He's not the worst, he's not the best. He's just missing that X factor and looks like a scumbag even back then. Like his friends he hung out with. Bad influences.

]What kind of fools math is that? Cena wasn't getting 20 minutes when he started, he was getting that 1 minute, and he made the most out of that 1 minute and he showed the people in power that he can draw them money, so he was given more time and thus made more money.......simple isn't it? [/p]
[/quote] Cena is given way more time, Cena is NOT ridiculed and the matches are pushed the way a match should be. Diva's matches are mocked, constantly ignored, made fun of and bascialy downplayed. If the announcers don't care why should we? Simple logistics really, Deezy you prove time and again it's a waste to try and show logic in any conversation simply because you want to argue for the ake of arguing so I am done waisting my breath, your positive contirbutions (and yes there are some) are not WORTH the constant idiotic, blind assanine statements you make.

So are jobber matches and yet they manage to work their way out of that......and then they get pushed more because they can make a company more money.
You are suggesting tokenism for women just because you view something as "unfair".....when it's the exact same system use for EVERYONE.
Tell me how that is unfair?

You are suggesting tokenism for women just because you view something as "unfair".....when it's the exact same system use for EVERYONE. Tell me how that is unfair? Jobber matches are designed to get the NON jobber over, they gain more because they are being elevated JUST by the "rub" factor if you will. Let's take for example (and no I'm not calling him a jobber but you KNEW he wasn't winning) this weeks match between Neville and Rollins, so Neville was a jobber by default I didn't believe he'd win when watching it, however the announcers highlighted his good and yes the fact he was NXT and he had beat Guess who! Rollins for the title! All this was mentioned to "introduce" him while he was doing a JOB for the champ. Now, they gave 13 minutes to the Diva's and in those 13 minutes? All I head was cracks and quips about the diva they mentioned very little positive, they don';t highlight the girls, having said that I think that the announcers of today have forgotten they are a HUGE part of promoting talent, I can't get invested when the announcer simply dimisses the talent, it actually pisses me off when this occurs.

That Raw divas tag was an abortion, and had every right to be buried which didn't happen.
Quit acting like it's someone elses responsibility to get something over when the blame should be placed solely on the performer.

Why do people want jobber matches? That's what Smackdown and Divas matches are for. I don't wanna see jobber matches on RAW.

Because with jobber matches SmackDown could actually go back to mean something?

Jobber matches are awesome.
Some guys, such as Ryback, are at their best when squashing nameless geeks.

... And they would make us old fuckers appreciate the occasional Repo Man VS El Matador main event.

Because with jobber matches SmackDown could actually go back to mean something? RAW doesn't mean anything. That's why I'll only watch the big PPVs now. Hearing you guys and the guys at work all complain about RAW, I'm glad I stopped watching. Now I watch old PPVs instead of RAW. Any PPV you watch will give you a recap of what's important.

I second that. I really only watch Raw because I'm used to and because my life basically sucks. SD I've quit a couple years ago after it basically became a recap show.

I tell you the worst 20 minute wrestling match on any one of those early 90s PPVs is infinitely more enjoyable than even the worst 3 minute job match on TV. I watched 4 Survivor Series over the span of a month and I'm spoiled.
