Rutherford B. Hayes was an old American President. As was Millard Filmore.
I don't blame you for not knowing. Most Americans only care about Washington, Jefferson, Lincoln, and the 20th century presidents.

You guys are awesome. I cannot believe that you started recording this at 12:45 AM! I think I speak for everyone when I say THANK YOU and we appreciate having the review ready for my morning commute. I do not blame you for preferring TNA right now. Do not feel bad about being down on WWE. Vince drove you to it. Also...

Sorry no I won't attack them for being "haters" or whatever, but come on guys there has to be SOME positive in what they are doing? Yes, the JR Skit was in piss poor state, but some of Vinnies stuff was funny, we're not all "young snots still in wet diapers" here, I got most of the references and I found the face on Regal to be priceless! Yes he kissed ass (litterally) but everyone does it figuratively every week on this show, so no it's not all that different.
Try and find SOME positive in the show guys, or else why bother watching it? I won't "rate" the show but I did find some to be entertaining, the wrestling wasn't bad, and the vignettes were mostly funny, seeing Vinnie mac dance... was priceless!
But lets admit one thing overall. Vinnie might not have touch with everything new in the world, but he's not afraid to embrass, or crack jokes at himself to entertain.

Not surprised you guys hated the show. You were going to hate it no matter what since you've been whining about having to watch this for the last few weeks. It's sad that your views on whether the show is good or not is totally dependent on the length of the show and whether Cena is on or not.

Did anyone catch the Be a Star poster in the background during the Vince segment when he was making fun of JR?

I think what Kane was meaning that you guys didnt understand was that CM Punk verbal pipebomb is nothing compared to the physical he has done in his career.
Also thanks guys for staying up and doing this review. It is awesome and love to hear from it. I also think the internet should email be a star and get the wwe in trouble for what they are doing to JR.

After listening to Review a Raw, I had to bring up how much you guys complained about the "dated" references. Now, I'm not saying these references were good, or even relevant, but normally you give the WWE grief for not going back into its history to enhance its product and now you're railing them for doing exactly that. "That was 6 years ago! New fans..." If your complaint had been about how bad the references were, and not just how old, I'd withdraw my minor complaint.
Also, it's been bugging me all day and I have to rant about Kane's use of the word literal. "My pipebombs are literally pipebombs." I don't recall an angle where Kane used a bomb to injure anyone. I'm sure what he meant was his figurative pipebombs have literally caused damage. Another small petty complaint I know, but with a similar education to Mr. Jacobs it bugged me. Other than that, I thought this was one of the better Kane promos on record.

I think it comes down to a matter of taste. I thought that whole JR-rap deal last year was hilarious, but no one else did. Maybe if I was in the same mindset for last night's show I would've found Vince dancing funny. And we did mention our positives from last night, like the Ziggler-Christian match, the Punk-Bryan promo, Big Show's promo... but overall I felt the show was dragged way down by what didn't appeal to me.

"That was 6 years ago! New fans..." If your complaint had been about how bad the references were, and not just how old, I'd withdraw my minor complaint. My issue is with their consistency of who they're aiming their jokes at. Much of this product seems to be dumbed down for children (Vince dancing; Be A Star; "chicken nuggets"). And if you're going to aim your product towards children, I'm going to start judging it from the perspective of a child -- a child who likely wasn't watching when that Kiss My Ass segment took place 11 years ago. I just know that if I was watching this show, and the punchline to a segment was some Buddy Rogers reference (someone I know nothing about), I'd just feel confused. It wouldn't be enough to turn me off the show, but it certainly wouldn't leave me feeling entertained. I think the historical references we clamour for are the type that A) Lead to an interesting match, and B) Are easily palatable for your audience that wasn't originally there. Things like the Brock montages after his return are a good example of this. Historical references are awesome for people who get them, but if you don't take the time to re-educate those who don't, you're risking alienation. I've heard the saying that every comic book writer writes each issue with both a devoted and new reader in mind, so that both can just pick up a story and get into it. I expect the same type of consideration here.

"What am I watching? What did I spend 4 hours watching?"
- Wai Ting
Great show guys.
I didn't even pick up on some of Vince's weird subliminal shots until you guys pointed them out.
Also, I found the tongue in cheek complaining about the 3 hour RAWs from you guys very humourous. You definitely have my sympathy for what you are about to endure in 6 weeks but most people don't expect the three hour experiment to last very long so maybe there is a light at the end of the tunnel both for RAW itself and Review-A-Raw.
