He's just a father looking out for his daughter. A white person dropping n-bombs is okay to you? I'm not the target and I don't have to deal with Hogan on a daily basis. Why is it important to me? Because he's famous and was a hero 30 years ago? With the stars and bars flag being a touchy issue, its just the wrong time for a 10 year old recording to surface. Like I said, his monthly blackmail money didn't arrive.

He was at a dentist right? Was he on gas? People say all sorts of weird stuff when they're doped up.

No matter what his words were, it's all stems from an invasion of privacy. You could record damn near everyone and eventually someone would say something terrible.
To act like you're above it shows either naïveté or flat out denial.

On a gut level I'm really glad the truth was outed... but I agree, the way it was captured was wrong and the people responsible should be punished. That said, it doesn't at all negate what I now know about this man's bigotry, nor does it make me any less offended.

Wai, are you seriously offended by this? Please the guy is a southern white guy in his 60's. He is grandfathered in and that is just something he just grew up saying and it wasn't frowned upon. Most older black people have come to his defense and it is mainly white liberals who want to ruin him. Please watch this www.youtube.com/watch?v=ItYS8is6bLAWhy would you want this man's life ruined forever and cost him a living for this? The comments he made while to his son while in jail are way worse than this. Michael Jordan publicly said this www.nbcnews.com/pop-culture/celebrity/michael-jordan-admits-racism-i-was-against-all-white-people-n98971 and no one cares or thinks he life should be ruined (including me)

From a PR standpoint that Hogan should be cut free. WWE has investors, black fans, black employees that wouldn't appreciate someone like that being employed. Happy workers are productive workers. Too bad he didn't put Mark Henry over on the way out.
Has anything else surfaced from black wrestlers over the years saying Hogan is a racist?

I had to look up jorts. Urban Dictionary says (http://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=Jorts): Jean shorts. Worn mostly by children and douchebags. Jorts are perhaps the easiest way to recognize people you will not like. If you wear jorts, you probably don't talk to girls. The term "jorts" does not apply to jean shorts worn by black people, as those are entirely acceptable.

Are you calling Billy Kidman a douchbag? Are you saying I did or Wai did? Urban Dictionary's definition. I'm just the messenger. I didn't even have to secretly or illegally obtain that offensive information either.

After following this story and reading numerous comments on different message boards, the thing that amaze me is where people stand on this. Now, people are entitled to there own opinions but the fact that people are finding excuses and not want to hold this man accountable for what he has said blows my mind. People can't separate the whole saying your prayers and eating your vitamins and being a iconic figure in the business from the man behind closed doors. We all clearly don't know who HH is personally and clearly neither does he but his life has been pretty well documented over the years and he has said and done stuff in his lifetime that can be said despicable. HH has the right to feel the way he feels towards African Americans. As a half African American/Asian who grew up as a hulkamaniac, of course I was offended. Is this the first time myself and the world heard public figures make offensive comments like this, No. To me, the bigger picture is the fraud that he is as a human being and now Karma has come to collect. I'm not writing this to try to persuade anyone on there beliefs on this situation because people are going to believe in what they want to believe and I realize that, but when I read that this man made a mistake and deserves another chance, throw other people and use other similar circumstances on the table to try to make this situation ok is not right. For the checkered past this guy has, he has been afforded MANY opportunities to rehabilitate himself in the public eye but everytime it seems like this guy is given an opportunity, he finds himself in these type situations and he has nobody to blame but himself. For a 60 something year old man, when do we say enough is enough. He clearly hasn't learned from any of his mistakes. Argument can be made that this was said 8 yrs ago and that he is a changed man. So by him saying that 8 yrs ago behind closed doors thinking that he would never get caught is suppose to make me believe that sometime in between he had a revelation and started to have a change of heart towards blacks. I'm not buying it. People can say that it's bullshit that he was being privately taped. Yes, in a perfect world this is wrong but we want to turn a blind eye and make excuses for it instead of the fact that this is out and he was exposed. Are we suppose to say that Ray Rice should be let off the hook for striking his wife in a elevator behind closed doors while being taped. Fact is, he was caught, therefore he should be punished. As an ex athlete, my old coached stressed on the term character and always stated that character is not who you are in front of people, its who you are while people are not looking. In this case, HH showed his true character when he thought people were not looking and people like George Foreman, Kamala and a few others that are sticking up for him need to realize that. Again, I know I may be coming across to many that I am trying to tell people how to think or what to believe but I just feel that people are missing the bigger picture here by not holding people accountable and place excuses on society all the time. What he said was cut and dry, wrong is wrong, bottom line and now he needs to pay the price.

CTTVs are not the same as being recorded without your permission, first off its against the law and secondly CTTVs have warnings if their presence. I don't condone the language, I condone the method to which it was released. if this was court, that evidence would be thrown out. There's no justifying racial tirades, but there should justification for privacy. Government spies.....it's bad, but TMZ releases stuff not under the freedom I information act is good? It's a slippery slope.

I'm shocked by lack of comprehension of those focused on the "word" Hogan used and think that's what it is all about. The slur is a lightning rod, but as bad as it is, the really disgusting thing about Hogan's diatribe is the sentiments behind it. Take his statements and replace "n*****" with "African American" and it's still vile, disgusting and racist.
This isn't just an old man from the South letting a racial slur fly by mistake, it's way WAY worse than that.
