The way the card and expectations are I'd rather call this WrestleMania Pause than WrestleMania Play... Or fast forward. To the night the crowd is full of WRESTLING FANS.

... Which will be ejected for showing too much enthusiasm in a way WWE didn't intend.

Seems like a lot of people online have already made their minds up that the show will suck, some will say they won't order it, but for some reason they will have full knowledge of the show and the little details of it.
I like what I see on paper, I'm confident this will be a damn good show.

I'm sure it will be good, but I'm not very excited for it. I have 0 interest in both HHH/Sting and Undertaker/Wyatt, and that's half of the 4 biggest matches. Last time I was this interested in a main event in terms of "I am excited cause I have no idea how it's going to end" was probably Punk/Cena. They could go a few different directions. I am assuming that Reigns is going to win the title, but I can't say that it's a guarantee.

I don't think Brock/Reigns is set in stone, with all the contract talk and UFC mentions.....throws a money wrench into that "predictability" for me, plus we can still have the option of aligning Heyman with Reigns because his client is moving on and he needs a new guy to leech off and why not the guy who he has said him and his family have some history, he thinks could beat all the greats in their primes.
And the IC title is actually on the mainstage with actual stars in a high profile match that is slated to be the show stealer.....I think this Mania looks better than the last two.

I wonder if, now that they're all in on the network, the lack of urgency to sell PPV's (or even the network for multiple months), is playing into the lack of build.

I remember when the network launched there was a pretty good article somewhere (RS or Vice or something like that) where the writer, who was a fan, had the same concerns regarding lackadaisical PPV builds since the business model was completely different now.
Safe to say we've seen that exact thing play out many times since last Feb.

Any chance they re-instate the 6-month commitment for anyone who gets the WWE Network the day of WrestleMania. As dark and evil as it sounds I would do it if I were in Vince's position. The power of impulse shopping is.. powerful, I think it would be good.

The power of impulse shopping is.. powerful, I think it would be good. I doubt it. If they thought that would be more profitable than month-to-month they surely would have stayed with it... at this point I think they're hoping that they can get as many as they can to sign up for WM, and they'll be too lazy to cancel it going forward. Insofar as that goes, $9.99 is a good price point, as it's low enough most people won't give a shit. Oddly enough, from a psychological standpoint people will be more engaged in the decision to spend $60 once, than $10 six times... and they don't want engaged subscribers, they want passive ones. Granted I imagine the price will be going up in the next two or three months.

I think in the near future they will go to the $9.99 per month if you prepay for like a year, $11.99 a month if you do it for 6 months, and $14.99 per month. Or something like that.
There is a part of me that wants it to rain during the card just for the absurdity of it. If they keep doing outdoor Manias, at some point they are going to get burnt.

I would laugh hysterically if they had no choice but to cancel/delay Wrestlemania because of Rain.

I would laugh hysterically if they had no choice but to cancel/delay Wrestlemania because of Rain. Don't think that would happen. For the outdoor ones they always have a massive canopy that cover the ring and surrounding area... but it would sure suck for the fans in attendance. But the only way it would be cancelled is if there is lightning concerns, and even then I think they'd try to ride it out with a delay and get it the show in when it passes (especially since PPV concerns are a low priority now)

I wouldn't mind the epic visual of Reigns and Lesnar fighting in the middle of a rainstorm. Add a slow-mo effect and I'd be set.

yeah, I don't want the event to be cancelled/delayed, but a steady rain for a match of two would be a pretty cool visual.
Would be horrible for the fans.

Cena v. Rusev: I'm not sure where this video package first aired, but I thought it was particularly well done. [ www.youtube.com/watch?v=o9NpfjYOYxk ] Rusev has really impressed me. Seeing him from NXT until now, he's really doing well his gimmick and I know I'm not the only one who thought it was going to be another campy gimmick. Of course, both he and Lana deserve credit. I just hope Rusev retains at 'Mania for his sake and for the sake of creating future stars.
