Miz isn't a guy who will just be a pushover for creative like Sandow was. He always pitches ideas left and right and will fight for his opportunities he gets and not just accept the "we got nothing for you".
He was never a guy who was given anything, dude was a pariah to the locker room and fans.
I used to hate him too, until that first nxt season where Daniel Bryan was his "rookie". People forget how instrumental the Miz/Bryan feud helped out Bryan and their contrast made for damn good tv.

People are mentioning (and I agree) the words spoken by Miz did cut close to Bryan, I think it was worked somewhat where he cleared it, can't hit raw bones without repurcussions, so maybe they agreed but Miz took it harder.
But to get back to this, the battles between Bryan and Miz have been going on since the draft. Where Daniel outright told us they "had no choice" but to draft the IC champ to get the belt. So "shoot wise" Miz is right Daniel has been riding him since day one. Miz wasn't drafted the title was. I think this is a great storyline! How will it resolve though since Daniel can not wrestle any longer is what remains to be seen.
I see Miz slowly going to the face side where he could work now that he's "shooting" on the "evil" authority figure... I hope to god not but it could happen...
That or Daniel gets a line up of guys to go after Miz title and they can promote new guys going after Miz and he retaining, It's been done old school, feed the champ the beasts and build him up in this way. And yeah we've seen it, but it is a good story, the premise is solid, once you get behind someone the fans will hate the new guy but it feeds the machine of the champion.

It was a nice promo. I don't expect him to win the big belt but what the hell...

The WWE title match at Summerslam was Ambrose vs. Dolph Ziggler, if Dean keeps the belt I really wouldn't put it past them to give Miz a title match eventually. I mean the guy dressed up as Col. Sanders got a title shot so the chicken could as well.

It ain't about winning the big belt. He put focus on his "Never ending Intercontinental Championship world tour". I know he's been saying that before but I was actually listening when he said it now. Lets see how close he can get to the legendary Honky Tonk Man's reign.

Lets see how close he can get to the legendary Honky Tonk Man's reign. It would be interesting to see a comparison in the number of title defenses (televised, non-jobber opponents) between some of the older year-long champs (Honky and Savage come to mind for the IC strap) and some of the champs with 100- or 200-day reigns in the 2000s. I would imagine that a champ today is in a significantly higher number of televised matches where losing the belt "could happen". (Then again, there was a chance that the title might actually switch at a house show back then, so who knows)

If Miz was to break Honky Tonk Man's record I bet some fans would claim it's because WWE just forget he had the title and didn't have anything for him. I remember so many people saying the same thing when Gregory Helms was Cruiserweight champ for over a year. On a similar note does anyone else think it's time for that record to be broken? I think something like that could help that title & the champion a lot since it's a record that has stood for so long and in the grand scheme of things it wasn't that long as it was just under 15 months and there have been many year long champs.

The Miz could hold onto the IC title for 5 years straight and it wouldn't mean anything unless he is positioned in a relevant spot with it. Look at the US title. Ambrose had it for a year, the 3rd longest reign in the belt's history, but because he was in the Shield it was forgotten, they ended up taking it off him in order to elevate him! Then Cena had it from 'Mania Play to Summerslam '15 and made it relevant again, only for it to be forgotten again during the flip-flopping between ADR and Kalisto. Rusev is rehabbing it again but not sure having it 'no contest'-ed at this year's 'Slam has helped matters.
I personally like the idea of giving the IC title to Nakamura when he is called up, if only for the symmetry of it, the fact he took the equivalent title in NJPW and at one point made it relevant enough to headline the Tokyo Dome show, they could even play off that in an attempt to build it up again. Especially if they do what they have been doing with him in NXT i.e. unbeatable.

Miz will be that guy who will get praised finally when people look back in history. Imagine if every old-timer's early work "in the territories" was on worldwide television and pay-per-view. The Hall of Fame would be empty.

After listening to the Cole interview with D.Bryan, it would an interesting angle to have him set up a match this week between Miz and Cedric Alexander who is Daniel's kind of guy...But the Miz needs to win and keep winning against the whoever Bryan throws at him...build the heat between the two and although Miz is the heel he will get the crowd behind him...

Hot wife for a valet, great heel promo ability, is the go-to-guy for pro-WWE promos for DVDs, appearences, etc.
Yeah, looks like your typical underdog.

I like how being "pro WWE" automatically makes you heel. Encapsulates my entire online experience.

What I meant is "extremely pro WWE" to the point of looking fake as fuck.
