I've started watching old Raw Is War episodes from 1997 and I've just got to where they were building up to In Your House: Revenge Of The Taker and originally they were promoting Sycho Syd VS Bret Hart for that show. This made sense because of how Bret cost Syd the WWF Championship at Wrestlemania, however it got switched to Stone Cold VS Bret Hart.
So my questions are:
Was it supposed to be Syd VS Bret or was it meant to be Stone Cold VS Bret all along? If it was Syd then were WWE planning to do a PPV rematch with Austin VS Bret? (They did have that Streetfight the night after IYH)? If the answer is yes then does anyone know when it was scheduled for?
Thank You

Maybe I'm misremembering but I think I read in Bret's autobiography that Sid was hurt.

Sid was hurt and put on a booboo face when he had to drop the title, notice he was never on WWF tv again after Mania 13.
