As I'm sure you all know, WWE are targeting ROH now as competition, despite the fact that ROH have had a friendly working relationship with the WWE for the past few years (though WWE were not happy with ROH piggy-backing on their WrestleMania weekends).
However, the first real shot has been fired in this "war." On August 22nd the WWE will specifically run NXT head-to-head with ROH in Brooklyn, combating ROH's NJPW talent with a NJPW talent of their own - Jushin "Thunder" Liger.
My question to all of you is: How should ROH respond?
I see three options:
1) Do nothing and pretend like the WWE still isn't ROH's competition
2) Acknowledge that WWE is competition but try to continue to play nice
3) Acknowledge that WWE is competition and then play hardball
Personally, I would go with option c. And on August 22nd I'd combat Jushin Liger with CM Punk. Punk has a history with ROH and is not exactly on the best of terms with the WWE. Due to his MMA commitment he would almost certainly not be allowed to wrestle, but perhaps he could be given permission to make a scheduled appearance.
Barring that, I might even try to bring in Hulk Hogan, just to shock the world, or maybe try to raid TNA and bring in guys like Austin Aries, Magnus, or Bobby Roode.
But how do you guys think ROH should respond to the WWE's challenge?

ROH should just no sell it and just try to keep existing. If WWE realty wanted to hurt ROH they would just get a simple boycott of their sponsors and kibosh any advertisements for their product, which they don't. I see NXT booked for Barclays as another expansion plan like they did when they booked buildings on Mania weekends.

I almost feel like option A would be best. Just continue, business as usual. I mean they have Okada, The Young Bucks, and Nakamura all scheduled for Field Of Honor. That feels like as stacked a lineup as you could put against an NXT show. Plus NXT is in a slump right now and is probably the lesser of the two companies (because of health issues).

If ROH would stop holding events where WWE stays for their big weekends there wouldn't be this problem. On the other side companies like ROH showed WWE u could make a weekend long festivity surrounding 1 show.
When ROH announce a ppv and WWE decides to do a house show in the same city then we can say WWE is targeting Ring of Honor. Right now ROH are invading Vince's territory's

It's not like ROH announced Liger and he got pulled for WWE that weekend. It's also Liger, who is more suitable for the WWE audience with his long history in US companies.

With the network launch getting Wall Street to build up their stock price and selling it down costing them a fortune and the money they used for the performance centre....you need all the money you can get. So taking umbrage to small timers trying to piggyback off your most lucrative weekend. I could see them trying to stop that.

NXT doesn't need to compete with ROH. They've already raided their talent. No need to put them out of business. I want ROH on the Network so I will finally watch it. I want TNA there too.
If any wrongdoing was done to the WWE, they need to be the bigger man and not smite ROH.
But since this is a war, just have someone murder Vince McMahon to send a message. Guy from Japan comes over, stabs Vince in his home, makes it look like a robbery and Vince walked in, then the guy leaves on a plane back to Japan like nothing ever happened. Leave a note saying "Donald Trump 4 President brother."

I found it laughable about these reports that the WWE is trying to run in ROH buildings. Can you imagine WWE (well NXT) running in Ted Reeve Arena? No chance. ROH should continue on the path they are on.

I know it will never happen, but I think it would be amazing if WWE offered time slots to ROH and TNA on the network.
Why? Because their network is, (sure it's called WWE Network) but it's WRESTLING dammit! it will never happen of course but just think, a true "wrestling" network that would highlight programming from all.
As for ROH as mentioned playing hard ball with WWE? if ROH decides to poke the bear, I can guarantee you that just like ECW and others ROH won't last long in the fight, that's like a chihuahua poking a saint benard, it might be funny but it won't last long when the big dog gets tired. Vinnie knows that ROH is a good talent pool and yeah he raids it, and frankly money wise? ROH can't compete with WWE on quality and money so, getting into a fight you can't win is dumb, you lay low, and Why not book a smaller venue in the WWE shadow?!?! It's Smart! people who know ROH product will go if they want, NxT and Raw/Smackdown are more mainstream while ROH is the new ECW.

I want that to happen. I want ROH and TNA on the network. They aren't competition. Even if ROH plays hardball like ECW did, there's nothing in it for WWE to crush ROH. ROH is a good place to steal talent.

ROH does what it does very well. As great as NXT is, for me it doesn't do what ROH accomplishes. I watch ROH live because the guys are insanely talented and the matches are exciting. The TV show lacks the drama and entertainment of RAW, but I don't really watch much NXT, because ROH live and New Japan fill my gaps for that style of wrestling. ROH is such an excellent source of talent and with the way that many wrestlers have climbed up the WWE ranks I think what's good for ROH is good for WWE.

If ROH is so great. They shouldn't piggyback off WWE shows.

ROH "piggybacking" off of the WWE does not make it any less "Great". ROH knows how big it is and how to put on a great show for its audience, and when/where to do that when a wrestling crowd is going to be nearby during a major wrestling event.

Shouldn't they draw on their own?
Guess not.
