If there was a highlight to the show, I guess the "Gut Check" segment was it. I enjoyed the backroom sitdown discussion between all the judges, but felt Flair was the only one speaking the truth. Granted I don't watch OVW nor have any knowledge of what type of worker Silva is, but that convince me, second chance promo that Flair challenged him to was awful. Not sure if that was an off-script moment, but I didn't buy what Silva was selling and I don't buy Flair bought it either, even though he claims that promo changed his mind.

Kind of a Pedestrian episode of Impact. I guess Bruce Pritchard couldn't wait to get himself on TV. New Talent search segment was contrived and lame. Velvet Sky's awesome ring outfit was a plus.
5 guts out of 10 checks.

This was a surprisingly strong episode of Impact Wrestling (7/10 - leaning toward 8/10). Not sure if this is a sign of the Pritchard era finally kicking in but I really like the way the show worked this week. Nothing seemed rushed, the stories made sense, the matches themselves were not amazing but still totally workable. Loved seeing Gail Kim beaten by her own move. Loved everything involving Ric Flair. Hogan even did the show a service by keeping his appearance mercifully brief and to the point. RVD looks great - it's definitely time to put the belt back on this guy and for a long run at that. Aries and Bully Ray are both super-hot so here's hoping they drag that program out for awhile.
I'm surprised to say it myself but based on tonight's show I'm pretty sure I'm gonna be watching Sacrifice on the 13th (and that may actually be the highest praise of them all). Thanks for the podcasts guys - stay cool.

- Totally looking forward to how Pollock addresses Flair calling himself evil at the start of the show, especially after his comments on Review-A-Wai this week. However, I do like the placement of Flair as a judge on Gut Check. I might not be sold on the premise, but that makes sense on many levels. Pritchard is an okay addition as well. The segments were benefited by the TNA shakey stalker cam, and I enjoyed the conversation among the judges. I don't like that they signed the first guy out of the gate though. Regardless, Silva did a great job on the stick defending his case to the judges. - That Hogan/Anderson was FUCKING TERRIBLE. Why does Hogan come off sounding like a heel GM? Stupid. - I DID enjoy Bully's, well... bullying of Joseph Parks and subsequently Jeremy Borash. I would ignore the stipulation that Eric Bischoff lost the right to his name, if they hadn't reminded us of that in the opening clip package. Otherwise, this stuff was all gold Jerry, GOLD! Speaking of gold, Austin Aeries was fantastic as well. - There were some decent matches tonight, so I can't harp much on the episode. Alot of bald guys on the show too, is Mr. Clean replacing Direct Auto as a sponser? - I figured out why we haven't seen Sting on TNA lately. I grabbed a screen cap just in case it gets taken down. www.wwe.com/superstars/sting LOL. wonderpodonline.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/05/StingWWE.pngWhat, no mention of Robocop? ;D

Y'know, TNA and Austin Aries are claiming that Aries "trended worldwide on Twitter" during Impact but nothing related to him ever showed up on my 'Worldwide Trends' tab and I was keeping an eye on it.
Eh, who knows?

Impact was good tonight. You know a show isn't going to be bad when Ric Flair opens the show referring to himself as the "WRESTLING GOD". Great promo by Flair. Than Hogan arrived and it was fine. The women's match was fine. Its annoying to see how TNA keeps trying to shove VelVel down everybody's throats. Just make her a valet. She sucks. Tessmacher was good. The RVD/Hardy match was fine, but way below expectations. Why would they put this match on TV too? This could probably draw above average numbers on PPV. They are somehow friends again. How odd. The 6 man tag was great. Couldn't care less about the whole Styles blackmail crap. The Aries/Ray segment was great and set-up a possible match between them. The Roode.Anderson match was also good. Anderson finally looked good in the ring, thanks to Roode. The Gutcheck stuff was fine, and Silva showed fire when told to sell himself. I love how Flair uses logical sense when it came to the Gut Check challenge. He should run the company. Flair was great throughout the entire show. Overall a good show. 6 and half hall of fame rings out of 10. take care guys!

I enjoyed this week's episode of IMPACT.
Is it me or is Ric Flair the best thing on the show. Every time he speaks on the show he makes it count. I want TNA to make him the GM of the show instead of Hogan.
I enjoyed the "Gut Check" segments but who the hell told Bruce Pritchard to wear that shirt? It looked stupid.
Austin Aries and Bully Ray were great but RVD's promo just seemed like he was stoned out of his mind and was not inspiring at all.
Why did they put the Hardy and RVD match on TV rather than building something up for the next PPV? They have plenty of guys on the roster that don't get much time on TV that could have had matches with either one.
Looking forward to the next Gut Check, not seeing Garett Bischoff anytime soon and seeing more of Ric Flair! WOOOO!
7 out of 10

it was 5 beers and myself vs TNA
Here is what I remember-
Flair says he's wearing a 'thousand dollar shirt' and is wearign his two wwe HoF rings. He later mentions the rings which reminded me of that storyline where Hogan gave his HoF ring to Abyss in order to grant him super powers. Flair gave his ring to a heel, I think, amazing.
Hogan trundled out and had unhealthiest looking eyes- bloodshot and red. Then I was reminded of those leaked photos of Hogan having sex with Bubba the Love Sponge's wife.
Hogan and Flair had a very odd interaction and it led to Flair being being on a in-show reality show.
I have no idea who or what Alex Silva is but he had some amazing tights and a shitty haircut. It was fun to see Brother Love and Al Snow out there.
Speaking of haircuts- when did Samoa Joe do that to himself?
The show was fine-
7 out of ten
