I happen to believe that a prime Ken Shamrock would pose a serious threat to ANYBODY that has ever competed.
Say what you want about Ken personally and make fun of him and his ability to perform at his current age and at his current stage of physical deterioration, but a prime Ken Shamrock was no joke, and he would've posed a legitimate threat to anybody
but lets move on.

If Shamrock in his Prime stands his best chance getting a win over any top 15 fighter it would be against Griffin, who's not great off his back, not great at creating scrambles, has very little KO power, and has suspect TD defense. However, Griffin is larger, has better movement, is a better striker, has cardio for days, and has NEVER lost by sub. I think he can try to do what Tito did to Griffin and work a takedown-to-ground-and-pound game on him.
Ken was great at quickly getting inside on strikers (Pat Smith/Bas Rutten/Maurice Smith); he had powerful, explosive TD's, be it from the clinch with body-lock TD's (Pat Smith/Bas Rutten/Manabu Yamada/etc), throws (Ryushi Yanagisawa/Katsuomi Inagaki), or shots (Bas Rutten/Maurice Smith/Brian Johnston); he had incredible positioning and a suffocating top game, considered by Maurice Smith to be the strongest fighter he ever fought, and Smith was on the mat with both Mark Coleman and Kevin Randleman; his submissions are legendary, and contrary to the ignorant belief of a lot of Sherdoggers, he was much more than just leg locks; his striking is extremely underrated, the proof being in his Pancrase fights where he outstruck Bas Rutten and Maurice Smith, showcased great knees against Yoshiki Takahashi, and great kicks against Masakatsu Funaki.
