Maybe there are some older wrestling fans out there, that remember Austrian wrestling legend and former World Heavyweight Champion "Big Otto" Wanz from his time in AWA. In Europe he owned and fought for a company called CWA.
Body slamming Andre
Fighting Andre
Check out YouTube for some rare taped stuff from the later stages of his career. Fights against Yokozuna, Scott Hall, Vader, Terry Funk, ...
In Austria he got some kind of mainstream exposure because of this attraction on television. The man that tears apart phonebooks.
RIP Big Otto. Sincere condolences to his beloved ones.

I don't know much about Otto Wanz outside of the name. I did stumble on a gif of him ripping several phone books apart on twitter.

I remember reading about him in Apter Mags. When I was a kid and used to create my own fantasy tournaments I always included him because I thought he was a big shot. RIP .
