Not a review of the show, as there's a thread for that...but a review of the podcast. Dan was SUPER negative throughout the whole ordeal. If it wasn't AJ Styles related, he hated it. Every segment met his displeasure. His displeasure was heavy as well. As if he was literally forced to watch SD Tuesday night!
I rarely even log online to talk about wrestling, but his negativity was so powerful that I scrounged up my login for this. No idea if this will reach him, but if he reads this...lighten up! OR, find positives in a negative. To me, it was clear he isn't a fan of SD, or the WWE's vision of SD, and just went into "It should instead be like X" mode, which is hard to drive home to after a long day of a boss telling me "It should be like X"
Hope to hear him again on a podcast, but hopefully next time it's more positive...

Older we get, the more jaded we will be.
Wrestling fans can only agree on one thing, current product should be like it was when they were growing up......problem is, the age is different for everyone.

I find Dan shines on Review-a-Wai when he's got a show he can sink his teeth into. When it comes to the current day product he's very hard to take.

I can relate to Dan. Smackdown and RAW was not on TV when I was growing up, so I watch them from the perspective differently from what Deezy was talking about.
I don't mind bits and pieces. Overall, it's not worth my time to watch as a whole. Much of it is pretty repetitive. I suppose if I had only been watching for a few months it would seem fresh. It wouldn't take too long to realize there isn't too much going on these days though. Albeit, some people like seeing the same thing over and over again. More power to them. Not my cup of tea.

The 'get off my lawn' has been strong with Dan in the last two years. He's gotten way to jaded to the point where even things that are cool, he rips. I can't count the amount of times John/Jason say 'no, its was good, here's why...', only to get 'fine, but I still didn't like it' from Dan. Relax dude, stop being the grumpy old guy.

Maybe things that you think are cool, are only cool to you?
This is subjective after all.

Sure, but i cant count the amount of times on the show that Dan will say something is awful only to have Jason or even Melzer say 'it wasnt that bad' and have Dan back off and, after being logically broken down, still say 'i didnt like it'. Its fine that he doesnt like anything, but he doesnt like anything.

This doesn't work like that, LOL! He is just avoiding unnecessarily arguing after the fact. Some like it, some do not, no reason to continue bitching about it on the radio at that point.

Dan does not like ANYTHING, thats the point. Those guys will logically break down why it works and what made it work (it does work like that, logic in storytelling, logic in debates) and Dan will back down, but say 'I still didn't like it'. There's no logic to his complaints, other than 'its not what it use to be'. Well get over the fact that its not what it use to be and be an analyst, not a complainer. Deezy said 'Older we get, the more jaded we will be'. Thats where Dan is.

Modern WWE totally blows. I feel sorry for the little kids like the O.P. who are being raised on this junk.
Dan is the man. Just because you don't know any better doesn't mean your elders are wrong.

Everything was better in my day syndrome.
