The only must-listen podcast for me is co-hosted by LAW founder Gentleman Jeff Marek, and it's about hockey. After that Review-A-Wai, AOW are timeless, so I can listen to those. I usually check out MLW for a bit, but if it goes sour quick, I'm out.
There's others, non-wrestling related. We're Alive is a fantastic zombie radio-drama, for example.
I drive a lot between two jobs, one has to have diversity.
I regularly skip the NJPW, What's NXT, and Review-A-RAW. But I always try to check out Review-An-Impact because the wrestling show is such a trainwreck, I enjoy listening to Wai and John attempt to talk about ANYTHING other than the show itself. I miss those Spiderman reviews. Also TNate tends to entertain.

Anyone remember WWE's Byte This? I wonder why they discontinued it. It was part of their out of court settlement with Travis Enterprises.

I listen to the law on sunday, pwt on tuesday and sometimes the pain clinic. I don't think the market is oversaturated at all. I would welcome a couple more quality ones.

The market is definitely over saturated but it's very pro wrestling-like to be a couple years behind on a trend like this.
I feel like I listen to a lot of wrestling and sports related podcasts. I listen to the LAW podcasts and the Podcast One guys are on a case by case basis as far as I'm concerned. Austin and Jericho can both be really good but could also be really repetitive and be a drag to listen to at times. If I see a Q&A or a guest I'm not interested in I just skip it with those guys. The one I actually enjoy the most is JR's podcast. He's got a great mind for the business and still keeps up with it today and still offers great insight and I like that he kicks off the show for about 5-10 minutes about wrestling related things that are on his mind. To me that's the one I'll listen to every week regardless of the guest. As for Piper and Goldberg, never listened to either one and don't plan to unless I hear something really good about one of them.

The Goldberg one just started and his first guest wasn't even a wrestler. Jury is still out. But yeah, when guys like Goldberg start having podcasts you know the market is over-saturated.

I'm not opposed to an interview show only featuring wrestlers. I also enjoy music, so Jericho's podcast still appeals to me.
I think Mick Foley would be a good person to have a podcast.

Over-saturation is the trend in pro wrestling. When a select few have something good going, "the boys" all hop on the bandwagon to the point of supply outweighing demand and often produce a half-assed finished product, which they really don't care about as long as they can make a few bucks from it.
Shoot interviews, "hardcore" reunion shows, podcasts, spoken word tours...if a few wrestlers released their own brand of butt wipes and it was moderately successful, you'd have over a dozen different brands being shilled by wrestlers on social media within a month.

Surely we've already had those by now. Maybe they were some early nineties Hulkamania merchandise. Hulkamania Butt wipes; Train, Say your prayers; Wipe your Ass. Or maybe The Rock was pitched the idea of The Brahma Bull's Butt wipes; They'll Wipe your Candy Ass. Or maybe 'Rikishi's Too Cool ass wipes,XXXL edition' Hmm, Worst Wwe Merchandise needs its own thread.

If they're all making money, it's not oversaturated. if you just mean you don't have time to listen to all of them, then yeah. It's like if you were a fan of a pro sport; there's not enough time to watch all of the events, let alone the media surrounding it.
Just pick what you like most, weed out the rest.

Well, a lot of things make money until they don't... case in point, WCW. You can kill the golden goose, especially pumping out a bunch of substandard product. Not sure there is all that much money in it unless you're Adam Carolla though, most out there just use it to promote other things and try to break even on the podcast... which has been great to Colt Cabana, but I'm not sure it'll do anything for Goldberg or Piper
What I am kinda surprised by is that WWE hasn't jumped on the podcast bandwagon. The way they tend to arrive late then totally over do it (poorly) with all things internet... they'll probably just wait until a low-to-mid-carder has one and it takes off, then they'll decide it's a good idea, start pumping out 20 a week and WWEize the one that was good.

Wwe had a wrestlemania themed podcast on podcast one leading up to this years wrestlemania. It was hosted by Renee Young.

to spin off the over saturation topic, big problem for me I have noticed lately is too many repeat guests. MVP was on Jericho's show this week, and he is scheduled to be on JR's podcast next week. I think I heard three different Lita interview around Wrestlemania time. I only need to hear one.

There is definitely heavy repetition with the PodcastOne crew. Part of me does understand creating synergy within the roster, but like you said, how many interviews of _______ do we need in a 5 week span?

I have totally dropped all of the podcast one stuff out of my weeklies. I listen to podcasts that are not wrestling focused as well, so things take priority. When I do go back, it's for Jericho. Otherwise, not so much. I respect JR, and SCSA. After that, it's kind of meh. Not enough time in the week amongst other interests to give a fuck.
