I think WWE will bail on this character sooner than later. Like within 3 months he'll be Albert again. TBH he's just around to be fed to Cena, i am surprised they're going with Lesnar before doing Tensai/Cena.

I think the gimmick will be around for a long time......on Superstars.

i like the lord tensai thing, but he looks like updated version of the sultan, ditch the costume, pomp, and circumstance, have him pummel a few more nobodies and stop pretending the fans are idiots, we all know it's albert acknowledge it and get it over with

It's rough getting over an American with an Asian stereotype gimmick. Well, outside the riff-Taff mid-carders!

Looking forward to the big Tensai interview backstage with Mathews... who will speak? Tensai or his handyman?

Looks like Muta to me.

Looks like Muta to me. Actually, what Muta and Tensai are wearing is called a gappa, it's traditional clothing that conceals a ninja chain armor. Also the face covering is a traditional tenugui, a cloth used to conceal the face. Tensai isn't actually copying Muta, unless Muta is responsible for Japanese culture. BUt I do agree... they look alike, but likely because of the same inspiration... Japanese Red Ninja... A la GI Joe.

Two matches and you guys are already calling it a failure. Yet everyone complains when they don't let things develop. I chose 3 - 6 months because I certainly don't believe that he will be champion but I don't think they'll give up on it any time soon. We need to give it some time in my opinion. I feel like Pollock's Umaga comparison is an apt one. It may not be as sucessful as Umaga would become before his untimely death but it may just. Passing judgement on it's sucess or failure at this point is premature. you are right i agree. it is premature to say fail. maybe he evolves. bad day to start anyway. a match/feud would be interesting. a feud with bigshow could help him.

Tensai isn't actually copying Muta, unless Muta is responsible for Japanese culture. In pro wrestling, he sort of is. It's not like everyone in Japan is wearing that stuff. They obviously looked for inspiration and Muta wore that type of gear all the time. Not to mention the mist claw. Of course, you had Kabuki and others before Muta, but he's the most well known.

WHat I mean to say is, Muta wasn't the first and only dude to wear a ninja outfit to the ring... just the most name-worthy. In Japan, there have been countless interpretations of the classic ninja.

Won't be able to tell really if Tensai is going to work until he is building heat in a match on a guy the crowd cares about. The roster is so thin there aren't even a lot over face mid carders for him to beat.

A chant of "GROW YOUR BACK" should be started.

If I was at a live show, Tensai would be one of the few wrestlers I would mark out for. If anyone needs off on Raw it's definitely Santino...can't stand him.
