I reject wholesale the idea that the Survivor Series match was in any way reminiscient of WCW, only because that serves to put HHH off the hook too easily. This is -exactly- and completely WWE. To sacrifice any amount of fresh, uncharacteristic talent in favor of McMahon feud number 300 is EXACTLY what WWE does now, did then, and has been doing since 1996. WCW booking was uniquely nonsensical, but this was exactly true to form.
lol

Roode and Nakamura both have stellar win/loss records. ...but that don't matter....because wins and losses only matter when creative wants it too. Ziggler was hit during his Miz feud because they wanted his win to something. Also...maybe...now just maybe. Nakamura and Roode shouldn't have just been an entrance in NXT. But Deezy, you couldn't possibly be anymore WRON- ... well shit!

I can't wait for Wrestlemania 66 and the feuds Stephanie and Triple H's daughters feud against Shane McMahons sons.

Guys in their late 40s lasting longer and going over younger talent - check Heatless crowd - check Non-sensical finish - check Just a horribly booked match that made zero sense. Why have Shane, Angle and HHH last so long? The fact that they're still relying on these guys in 2017 is pretty sad. Why not just finish the show with Styles/Lesnar? The fact that they got the crowd to care despite it being painfully obvious RAW would win (3-2 SD lead at that point) proved how great both guys are. The main event the crowd completely died. And why not mention the fact that it's a series of seven matches before Sunday? I'm betting Vince woke up and decided to keep track or something, so weird. Let me try to play the devil's advocate here. Non-Sensical finish? Strowman is getting a huge monster push by one of the main characters, HHH is "scared" of strowman and he looks super over with the crow, how much or a pop do you want when Strowman slammed HHH they popped huge! Why should they last long? Name recognition makes the match someowhat more interesting to the casual fan if they all get tossed early then its popcorn time... Plus all of these folks have credible history in the WWE and can still go. Why not book Lesnar/Styles as the main event? No belt to change hands for 1, for 2, this is SURVIVOR series so the 5 on 5 classic SHOULD be the main event. I didn't like HHH being in the match in the first place, having Jordan would have been just as bad as I think that "your my son" angle is so LAME it stinks to holy hell. But that's my take on it. I enjoyed most of Survivor Series and the womens match was also done well. Nia being counted out allows her to save face against the small girls, plus I may be wrong but I do believe her little depature was not "Sanctioned" by WWE.

Hadn't considered this (mostly because the height of the Triple H era is the "lost years" of my fandom), but the more I think about it, I think you're right.
