Just came back from work and am speechless.
Thank you, Bobby. Thank you so much for everything and for the memories.
There will never be another Bobby Heenan. Ever.
I know you're already driving Gorilla crazy and WILL YOU STOP?!
R.I.P.

Normally I'd be sad....but he has been suffering for over a decade.
Maybe he's passing another gorilla position if you believe in that sort of thing

His Hall of Fame speech is still my favourite of all time, it was the funniest and you can tell he was having a blast. Without a doubt the greatest manager of all time and one of the greatest commentators too.

Greatest HOF speech ever perhaps? The ending always gets to me. Was watching this last week along other HOF speeches, thinking about how Bobby was doing. The last vids of him made me miserable. It might be callous to say but I almost wished he'd peacefully die because he was reduced to a skeleton with meat on it. Once again, there will never be another Brain in this business. He was never vulgar and his one liners were funny and before their time. His banters were more "shoot-like", in a sense, than most shit we have witnessed in the past 20 years.
He had a passion and made the most out of it. How many of us can say that? Perhaps... how many of us can joke about it?
And that HOF speech? Funnier than most comedians today.

This still gets me laughing out loud and like you the ending got to me as well. It wasn't until I his passing that I saw recent pictures of him, it was really upsetting to see.

When I was younger, I was able to appreciate him as you were angry for his blatant cheating and wanted the face to get his revenge. now that I'm older, I can appreciate how brilliant a performer he was.
Looking at all the talent on the roster today, just how valuable would a manager be for these guys. Imagine what wonders could be done for the likes of Apollo Crews, The Ascension, Erick Rowan...etc, if they were part of a stable led by someone like Bobby Heenan, Jimmy Hart, Mr. Fuji...etc especially if they got double crossed or turn against their manager.
I'm hoping for the full works regarding tonight's Raw. As in, a 10 bell salute, Performers on stage and a proper video package.
I'm also hoping for a Weasel Suit match and want Corey Graves to channel the great man on commentary.

I rewatched the 1992 royal rumble a few hours ago and there is a bit of Bobby Heen an in Corey Graves commentary, like the way he adores or hates some wrestlers.
How many times does Bobby say "It's not fair to flair" during the rumble ! I think Gorilla and him were the best pair on commentary and will always be.

I hope Gorilla met him at the pearly gates and they have been catching up ever since.

Just watched the 1992 Royal Rumble again... because why not?
Anyway, wondering if anybody here was an adult and/or "smart" to the business when they saw this match live. I remember being shocked that Ric Flair won as a seven-year-old, but looking back, I feel like Gorilla is telegraphing the shit out of the fact that Naitch going to win. Between the build and the match itself, was this obvious to the average fan at the time?

I was 12 at the time. Got my WWF via Italian TV. I remember that night (of course we got it 3 weeks later at best). I remember drawing signs to show in front my TV (silly me). When Flair won I, of course, heard the Italian commentary but could still hear Bobby screaming.
The promo after is legendary.

My memory of Bobby was the adventures with the weasel suit. His throwing himself around like a fish out of water flapping, acting all surprised.
Meanwhile backstage info: Bobby brought the suit he was gonna be put in! HILARIOUS!
Bobby was old hand yes I remember seeing him (on tape) with WM 3 and cheering on Hulk to lift that man! And bobby in the background seen running around like a chicken, his big man was going to be lifted!
Bobby was an artist! He knew how to work the crowd with flair, style panache, he exuded swarmyness when he was a manager and that's what made him a success.
I wish I could say I had the honor of meeting him but I can't. and its one of the men I truly to regret not having met.
