Some odds on the main card:
Daniel Cormier -110 vs Anthony Johnson -110 This is a pick'em fight according to the oddsmakers but i can't help but feel like Anthony Johnson is the pick here. All it takes is one clean shot and the fight is over. Cormier avoided that shot in the first fight (barely), but i don't see him being that lucky again. Also all the while Cormier was busy being a broadcaster and pulling out of fights with the "AKA special" injury of the month. Rumble has been knocking mofos out and training for this moment. To finally be UFC Champion. Simple analysis. Rumble is the better striker. Cormier is the better wrestler. Everyone knows that. But I'll take the challenger by KO. And NEW....
Chris Weidman -110 vs Gegard Mousasi -110 Another pick'em fight. Weidman is at a crossroads following two straight losses. While Mousasi is riding a hot streak going 4-0 in 2016, three by KO. Going back to 2015 Mousasi is 6-1 with the lone loss being a miracle from God to Uriah Hall. A loss he emphatically avenged in November. So we have two fighters going in opposite directions here. No shame at all though losing to Rockhold and Romero, but the concern here is that Weidman was stopped in both fights by KO. That doesn't bold well vs a seasoned striker like Mousasi. Mousasi will have the striking advantage, but Weidman will have the wrestling advantage, and will be desperate for a win. That desperation added to the fact that he's been stopped in his last two fights might lead Weidman to be more conservative and try to grind away a win on the mat with his wrestling. That's his best avenue of winning. And even though it seems like a lifetime ago, can't get the visual of King Mo taking down Mousasi at will. Weidman is the same type of level wrestler and i will pick Weidman by decision here. Though not overly confident.
Cynthia Calvillo -250 vs Pearl Gonzalez +200 Calvillo is a prospect out of Alpha Male gym. She won her only UFC fight at UFC 209 by 1st round submission. She won rather impressively but she is no world beater. Never seen Pearl Gonzalez fight so i don't have a real opinion on this fight. But one thing for sure is i won't be laying -250 on the favorite.
Patrick Cote -170 vs Thiago Alves +140 Two old school veteran strikers battle here. Alves has only fought 4 times in the last 5 years (going 2-2 in that span) and having lost his last two fights. While Cote seems to have had a career resurgance since dropping down to Welterweight going 6-2 in his last 8 fights, 5-2 at Welterweight. With those two losses coming to Wonderboy Thompson and Donald Cerrone. No shame in that. On the surface it looks like Cote is the pick here. But i feel like if Alves can use his leg kicks and speed vs a slow plodder like Cote he's got a great chance here. I'll go Alves by decision.
Will Brooks -275 vs Charles Oliveira +225 Brooks is the heavy favorite and should get the job done. Oliveira is one of those fighters who beats the fighters he's supposed to beat, and folds like a cheap tent when stepping up in competition. Super talented fighter though, glass jaw can't take a punch, can't handle adversity. But he has some incredible jiu jitsu when he's on. I wouldn't blame anyone for taking a shot with the big underdog here. I won't be betting Brooks but i'll pick him by Decision to win.

needless to say, it's a huge drop off after the top two fights.
Going with Cormier and Mouasi in the top 2 bouts.

For sure. This is not a card that i will be purchasing or going out to a bar to watch. This is a stream the last two fights of the card type event. With that said those are two excellent fights on paper.

Pearl Gonzalez is hot and has breast implants so she has been pulled from the card. This is the first time i've seen a woman pulled over breast implants. Just a few months ago Miesha Tate fought in New York with breast implants and nobody said a thing. Ronda Rousey's been fighting with breast implants for a while and nobody cared. Why now? Strange one here...
Also Cormier had struggles on the scale, barely making the weight under mysterious circumstances.
