Since it's Wrestlemania season I thought we could have a typical
Dream Wrestlemania card thread but with a twist.

-Choose from all previous Wrestlemania cards I-Star.

-You can only have one wrestler once. (So if you have Taker Vs HBK you can't use either of them again)

-You Can only have 1 WWE Championship match,1 World,1 IC, and to make it simple 1 Tag Team championship match. (US and Cruiserweight and Women as well)

With all those stipulations what would your dream Wrestlemania Card look like?

I thought the dream card scenario was in play, that was my misunderstanding. I'll call it a best of WrestleMania.

So like if I say Triple H/Shawn Michaels/Benoit triple threat for the world heavyweight title, I can't go Angle/Benoit for an opener.

I think my blind spot from 2002-2012 or so (though I’ve seen all of those Manias at some point) is rearing its head here. I’m sure there are some other random matches that I could throw on, but this is what I came up with (mostly) off the top of my head.

WWE Title: Brock Lesnar vs. Roman Reigns (vs. Seth Rollins)
I’m assuming one of the rules is that the match plays out exactly like it did in reality. If so, I love this match (also, it gives me guys like HBK, Austin and Rock to use elsewhere). Not to sound like a grizzled veteran on a podcast, but they told a great story from start to finish.

World Heavyweight Title: Triple H vs. Batista from Wrestlemania 21
Not a lot to choose from once you throw out Taker and HBK… both of whom had a better use below.

IC Title: Randy Savage vs. Ricky Steamboat from Wrestlemania 3
Duh.

United States Title: John Cena vs. Big Show from Wrestlemania 20
Had a heck of a time trying to get Cena on this card. I don’t remember this match at all, but I know that his WM31 match with Rusev sucked, so this one gets the nod (even though it might also suck).

Tag Team Titles: Edge and Christian vs. The Hardys vs. The Dudleys from Wrestlemania 17 OR Wrestlemania 2000
I love the ladder match from 2000, but the TLC from WM17 is the more iconic. Would have to re-watch them both to make a decision.

Women’s Championship: Charlotte vs. Becky Lynch vs. Sasha Banks from Wrestlemania 32
Also duh.

Shawn Michaels vs. Undertaker from Wrestlemania 25
Probably a no-brainer anyway. But throw in the fact that I don't have to burn a title match on it, and it's a definite.

Bret Hart vs. Owen Hart from Wrestlemania 10
My favorite match of all-time

The Rock vs. Steve Austin from Wrestlemania 19
Austin/Bret was sacrificed because of Bret/Owen. And once you throw out Austin and Rock’s title matches, this one stands out.

Chris Jericho vs. AJ Styles from Wrestlemania 32
Have to get AJ on the card. So only one to choose from.

Kurt Angle vs. Chris Benoit from Wrestlemania 17
Not even sure if this is the match between these two that I’m thinking of. But I’m guessing this match was great either way.

Hulk Hogan and Mr. T vs. Roddy Piper and Paul Orndorff from Wrestlemania
I love Roddy’s Wrestlemania 8 IC Title match, but that misses the cut for several reasons. So let’s throw this one on the preshow at 5 PM for the hell of it.

Glaring Omissions
Eddie Guerrero and Rey Mysterio: Can we make an exception and just include their Halloween Havoc 97 match?
Mr. Perfect: seems like he was always in an IC match vs. a stiff at Mania
Razor Ramon: WM10 ladder match sacrificed at the altar of HBK/Taker
Ted Dibiase: Million Dollar Title vs. Virgil?
Cruiserweight Title: I think the best right now might be Taka/Aguila for the Light Heavyweight strap at WM14. Ask me again after this year.

If this is going to be the Grandest Show of Showcase of the Immortals, then it deserves more than just a show and pre-show, it deserves a Double Show.

This format is probably friendlier to viewers than your current one night 7-hour show.
