Shinsuke Nakamura beat Samoa Joe in Osaka to win back the NXT title. So did Joe win just so Nakamura could win it in Osaka and him challenging is better than defending? I heard they were taping this to show and the cage match in Australia is also being recorded. Also do you send Joe to main after that cage match?

Without getting into spoilers, the person who is now number 1 contender makes sense given the result.

Hopefully I don't offend anyone by saying this-
I love reading these boards, and I watch NXT, and I would have much preferred it if this thread title was something like "NXT spoilers re. nakumura/joe"
Not a huge deal and I don't want to be a dick, just saying it's kinda hard to avoid the spoilers if they are in the thread titles.

Sorry. Didn't think much about it when I came up with the title. But to be fair I think even if I did name it what you mentioned I think that would have gave it away as well.

Fair enough point, but if there is one thing I have learned the hard way over the years it's that if you want to avoid spoilers these days you pretty much need to go full on amish for a good week or so! Regarding the result, not surprised. The only real next contender for the title is Roode and apart from the obvious issue of the heel v heel dynamic no one really wants to see him v Joe so soon given the TNA associations. And yes it made sense to have him chase the title in his home country.

Nakamura not affected by the hometown curse

I was stunned when Joe beat Nakamura in Toronto.
Then like 30 minutes later I read that the rematch was happening in Japan a few weeks later. I put two and two together then.

I'm surprised they didn't have Nakamura job in Japan. It really gets the hometown hero over! Trust me it's a proven formula.

The crowd reaction wasn't as big as I was expecting it to be for when he won the title.
And piss off anyone who says "fans are quieter in Japan". That's a crutch people who aren't over use.

Didn't expect Shinsuke to win it back in Japan, but made the show I attended in Melbourne, Australia more exciting.

If weeabos want to be extra japanesey, they should chant "shin-skay clap clap shin-skay clap clap" or one random woman scream his name high pitched and loud.
Assuming there's women at nxt shows.
