at the moment it happened, the 4 New Japan guys leaving for WWE felt the biggest to me personally.

Reigns popping for a lame ass legal drug was my story, forced the company to try push some vanilla midget who couldn't take a bump.
Wrongs always have a history of righting themselves.

I'd go with the NJPW four, as it's lead to an impact at Royal Rumble, nxt, a WWE title run for A.J, Nakamora at nxt, and while Gallows and Anderson haven't quite hit the heights yet it's also hopefully made NJPW look at how they structure contracts to reduce the impact of another raid.

Narrowing this list down, I'd say that the AJ Styles signing, brand split, Reigns suspension and Balor injury are the four that likely had the biggest impact on the product we ultimately saw on screen (NXT not included).
Using that as my main criterion, I'll say the brand split was the biggest story for now, but it could very well end up being the Styles signing in hindsight.
The Reigns suspension and Balor injury definitely changed some storylines, but quantifying how much actually changed in the big picture would just be speculation.

For me it was probably them signing the 4 from New Japan and 2 of them doing really well. Second would be Reign's wellness policy when he was pretty much at the height of his push.

I've got to go with the majority here and say the NJPW 4 was the biggest story.
For me the second biggest story was one not mentioned on the list, and that was the return of Shane McMahon after 7 years!
Third place for me goes to Daniel Bryan's retirement.
