Kinda like the guy and the answers he gave. Looks like he doesn't give a fuck and he just perceives it as art which probably makes him the best guy today. I mean in an old school way. The part about scripted promos is great. What do you think?

The beginning was incredibly awkward but it got much better as the interview continued. The most interesting part was Ambrose criticizing Lesnar for being lazy and difficult to deal with during their WM 32 match. I'm not sure Ambrose came off that well overall because Austin was trying to get the guy going and for most of the interview he was pretty low energy and gave boring answers.

Dean is low energy though. I have one of his shoots he did years before signing and he was low key for the whole 2 plus hours. I've always liked Dean, he comes off so well and honest.

Heard him Art of Wrestling a while back. Laid back and plain kind of guy he seems to be. Either the lunatic is a character or his podcasts are just works and he's really Daffy Duck.
Personally, I'd pay good money to see Dean Ambrose jump around a lot and yell "woo hoo"

Austin was trying to put a chip on Ambrose's shoulder to motivate him to be more than he is. He looked frustrated when the guy wasn't getting it.
He wasn't trying to cut a goddamn promo on him, he was trying to tell the man he isn't expendable and to act like a champion.
A champion doesn't toe the line, a locker room leader doesn't walk on eggshells.

yep. From what I saw, Austin got frustrated that Ambrose wasn't playing along.

I liked Ambrose's impromptu promo about the hypothetical match with Austin - going after his bad knee, how that builds the story that can be told in the ring...it's simple stuff, but I wonder how many of his peers are able to do that completely on the fly.
I'd prefer to see more of that. Requires that Ambrose turn, though, which is really where he belongs.

I like how he basically called Brock lazy for calling their match in the ring instead of doing the shit he wanted to do.
Contradicting his first point of liking spontaneity.

I just listened this morning. It almost felt Dean wasn't sure where the "kayfabe" line was and was never really comfortable. These podcasts are the only present-day example I can think of where a guy is in a shoot interview but (presumably) still has a mile long list of rules to follow.
The interview itself wasn't a masterpiece, but I still came away liking Ambrose more than I did beforehand.

The Ambrose/Lesnar match was straight up bad booking. Why was the match even put together in the first place? Both guys came off worse after that whole mess.

Funny how hindsight comes into play for that match, I remember alot of people whining about Brock only facing old guys and part time performers.
I remember people whining about the proposed Brock vs Rock match and how Lesnar never works with younger guys.
Now it's a badly booked match because......people were somehow expecting some CZW garbage fest. If Dean wanted that match to matter, maybe he should've done what Bret Hart did when he was still a midcarder working with Piper and gigged himself or asked Brock to hardway him like he did with Cena in his first match back.

The build-up to the match involved Ambrose pulling a red wagon out to the ring... if you consider that good booking I'm not sure what to tell you.
Point is, the two never should have been matched up in the first place. Lesnar shouldnt have to sell for a 180 pound guy like Ambrose, and I understand why he didn't want to with the UFC still on his mind.
Nothing happened in the match, they didn't tell a story and neither guy got a single thing out of it. I think they could have told a good story about Ambrose refusing to give up but Lesnar wasn't up for it. It would have been better to have Ambrose do something else and Lesnar destroy a monster like Strowman.

You do realize that Ambrose couldve called it all out there in the ring, and Lesnar would've been more than happy to beat him up until the end.
It's so funny how people forget thats an actual option.....people still call it out there.
Brock was calling for Reigns to potato him and cause his cuts from Mania 31.

Brock was calling for Reigns to potato him and cause his cuts from Mania 31. That's not what happened at ALL.
