Ahhh what a title for a PPV, Capitol Combat... The Return Of RoboCop. Gotta love the WTF moments of WCW. I never saw this era as it happend, But I love this era for one reason Bob Caudle and Jim Ross. They were perfect examples on how to call an event.
It was nice to see Missy Hyatt when she was a gorgeous lady who wasn't bad on the mic.
The world renound hair styleist, hmmm... Yeah like anyone of that demagraphic knew who he was, maybe the kid from the Wonder Years suggested him.
The 4 Horsemen interview, I think Ole was more out of his mind than Ric, at first it seemed he was the leader..... Booker alert. Sid in a tux and the look on his face was priceless.
Cornette and the Midnight Express, not my fav version, but hey Cornette is always great.
What were they trying to get over with the video of Robo?, poor Gordon Solie.
The whole Cage spot with Sting was soo cheesy and so evident that the cage was soooooo rubbery.
I'm curious to know how many people came to the show just for Robo?.
Again Cornette is great "thats my momma's house",put him on any show and he makes it better.
By the second interview with Sting I was sick of seeing him.
The match of the night for me was Doom and The Steiners, Four big guys with a Scottie Steiner who could move. I always felt Scotties' look was better here than now. Ross' call was pre- Bell's palsy perfect. text book match with Doom chaeting to win.
What didn't WCW rip off, with the Thunder Dome cage. I never knew what to think of that cage, it looked so flimsy and cheap. Classic Figure Four and boy Flair could always bleed so well. At least the Horsemen kept Luger from winning, never saw the big deal with him. "We're the Horsemen and look at us". Its good to see that TNA is carring on the tradition of ending ppvs that solve nothing.
I give the show a 3 out of 5 with a good Doom/Steiners match. Cornette, Flair,Ross and Sid in a tux saving it for me.
