Hello LAW Universe,
I am getting married this summer and for our wedding reception we are going to have 13 different tables where the guests will be sitting at. Now I want to have the tables named with a wrestling theme. I was thinking something like naming a table after all the areanas that have hosted a Wrestlemania or naming it after PPV's but I came here to ask my fellow Lawanites for some ideas to help me out.
Ideas?

You want to kick it up a notch hire the Iron Sheik to be your best man. I am sure he would do it cheap as long as its an open bar and the speech would be great.

This would have been an awesome idea for my wedding.....although there would have been "NO chance in Hell" that my wife would have gone along with this, lol

13 tables, about 12 PPV's a year. The main table (bride/groom/etc.) is your big, BIG table and will be the WRESTLEMANIA themed table. Classic Wrestlemania logo with the tag line 'ONCE IN A LIFETIME...' and then two pictures, the bride and groom, in a Rock/Cena like pose that we all saw heading into WM 28. For your other tables, each one will have it's own PPV and small tokens to signify the tone, theme of the event. Example, the SummerSlam table will have little palm trees, a bucket of sand and a shovel, sea shells. The Survivor Series table can have a huge bracket on it pitting the table's occupants against each other in a single elimination tournament....maybe with the ring bearer and flower girl getting a first round bye. Hell in a Cell? That table can have a covering of chain link fence. The Elimination Chamber? Chains draping all over. And if current PPV's don't necessarily evoke those sorts of images you can fall back on classic one, like King of the Ring. Simple enough to have crowns and scepters for all seated. Whatever you guys go with I wish you the best and congratulations!

Just be careful at the reception that nobody puts a snake in a box and tries to pass it off as a present.
Congrats!

You can get Howard Finkel to be the MC! That would be the greatest thing ever. If only he would fly up to Calgary and do it all for a very low cost. Thanks for the ideas everyone.

Former wedding videographer here. Just gonna throw this out there. Get some cheap wrestling figures from craiglist or ebay or something. At the reception, attach their names for the tables to the figures and give everyone a nice little gift to remember your wedding. If you wanna go over the top, have those little rings available at the table too.
You can have people come out to wrestling themes, but for the love of god, you'd kill the room trying to get people to dance to that music.

I'm also getting married this summer, but not really looking to do anything like that. A wrestling friend of mine had a worked angle in his wedding, where a dude ran in at the 'forever hold your piece' bit and they had a mini brawl. Takes a very understanding better half.
