Does anyone here play the WWE Video Games? What was your favourite? Mine was WWE Raw 2 for the Xbox v1. The gameplay was good, but had its flaws. The reason it was my favourite was it was the first wrestling game to have custom entrance music. I downloaded a crapton of entrance theme songs from Kazaa, burned them to a CD-RW and ripped them to my Xbox hard drive. I loved having accurate entrance music for my created wrestlers. I'd even update when someone would change their music. I think I spent almost as much time creating wrestlers as I spent actually playing the game.

I have WWE 12 for X-Box 360. It is the best one the WWE has come up with.

No Mercy is still the best wrestling game I've ever played. I haven't checked out the modulator yet, it looks great but some of the updated moves don't look very good in the frame rate department. Not feeling the last WWE game, I guess I'll wait for WWE '13 for now.

"Here comes the Pain" will always be my favorite WWE game. I got WWE 12 when it came out and honestly it wasn't as much difference then the previous Smackdown vs Raw games (other then the graphics) I heard the next THQ WWE game will focus on the attitude era.

I second No Mercy. Just in terms of time put in alone. Once had a 90 minute triple threat ladder match. The shouting that happens when you think you have both guys KO'd and one gets up just as you are so close to the belt is ridiculous.

Thirding (not a word? Blast!) No Mercy.
As advanced as the games became and continue to do so there's just something about the N64's wrestling offerings that were just unbeatable.
Love the new games of course but I've yet to have the sort of marathon sessions that I've played No Mercy.

The only thing that kept No Mercy out of my top spot was that glitch that erased all of your progress...That s#it was so frustrating!

I hated Wwe 12..gameplay was super slow. I remember the first SD's were way more fun because it was quicker. My favorite game was probably Here Come the Pain.

That's something I forgot, the same thing would happen with WCW/NWO Revenge and World Tour....except for those two it was a relatively simple matter to get back in the swing of things, No Mercy with it's deep CAW options it was a lot tougher.

It was weird, it wasn't anything you did, no accidental button presses, no inadvertent turning off the console, it was just you were playing and then 'wham', with no warning your character would revert to base and everything you'd done to customize it was sent to CAW hell.

Agreed! I had the most fun with that game and the AI was near perfection (especially watching the AI's going at it). I stopped playing at Smackdown vs RAW 2009, simply because I was tired of the same old disappointment from the first SD vs RAW game forward. I never liked how the move list decreased within each installment, being forced to be in a certain type of wrestler solely on weight class and the frustrating feeling you get whenever your opponent get's up half way of preforming a top rope finishing move. I enjoyed the arcade feel of the old Smackdown games, along with the anticipation as to what new move, backstage area or storyline that will be included in the next installment. I know I'm rambling here, but I actually miss getting excited, let alone CARE for the next WWE game.

For some reason, I never had this problem. I must have had a lucky cartridge. It was a defect in the early versions of the game, but was fixed later. I went through two copies before getting one that worked. While it never failed, I still saved everything to my memory card just in case. Can't lose all the CAWs, after all. No wrestling game has topped No Mercy IMO.
