Well, that's the internet era for you. Do you know the wording from the original article?

Meh...Zuffa has had it out for Cage Potato ever since they leaked the Arianny Playboy pics.
They've already issued a retraction so Zuffa trying to press further is just LOL at this point.

The whole situation is stupid but I also understand where they are coming from, especially if they were getting feedback from people who thought that it was true.
Betting on their fights is pretty close to the top of the list of worst things a fight promoter can be accused of so if some people are looking at that and thinking that it's true, it's a situation that the UFC needs to clear up.

I have no problem with Zuffa needing to clear it up and if it wasn't Cage Potato it probably wouldn't have mattered as much to them.
But for Lorenzo Fertitta to say that they still have to look at the matter and see if the retraction was enough is just ridiculous.
First of all, I couldn't see a judge taking this seriously since you would have to have a below room temperature IQ to think it was legit. And also, they have a PPV in May that is on the verge of being flushed down the toilet thanks to Overoid, so maybe they should be more concerned about that.

Funny thing is Dana is a notorious gambler. Beyond the PRIDE bet in 2003 one of his vlogs has him betting $100 against Wandy against two UFC fighters at a UFC event....and paying him. Obviously it's not the same as betting a 500k wager and Dana apologists say it was a harmless "friendly bet", but if they want to get into frivolous litigation there is more than enough which can be brought up to make them look bad.
