Now that there's a General Wrestling Subforum I figured I'd start a WCW thread. I really miss WCW. It got kind of awful sometimes in the later years, but it was great at times.

I miss WCW even though I was a WWF guy growing up...I am trying to hunt down some old WCW shows mainly because I missed out on the bulk of it growing up. I definitely watched during the 'peek period' but 99-2000 and pre-94 WCW are definitely blurs for me

I remember being the only Jim Crockett Promotions then WCW fan among all my friends who liked Wrestling, I would talk about all these phenomenal wrestlers who WWF fans had no idea about.

Growing up at first I could only get WWF highlight shows such as Livewire, whereas I could see both Nitro and Thunder in full. I really miss the shows, it became utter trash towards the end but I look back fondly on the times that the WWF actually had some serious competition.

Still blows my mind that at one point Nitro was consistently a three hour broadcast. Three HOURS. Every week. Year round. And it was always a hot product too.
Those of us who had to flip back and forth between Raw and Nitro were ridiculously lucky.

i was really way more into wcw than wwf... i think i've always been more of a wrestling than angle/storyline guy, cruiserweights, benoit booker t tv title feud, jericho malenko feud, raven and the flock, the hollywood blondes... shit there was some cool stuff, i left completely pretty early into russo's tenure their when campy backstage segments outnumbered matches about 3-1.

I enjoyed WCW until the last year before it's demise. We can thank Hogan, Bischoff, and friends for WCW's demise. I hated how WCW misused Bret big time which they had no clue what to do with him it seem on a weekly basis that he would go from face to heel or heel to face which fans had no clue how to react to Bret.
