Hey everyone,
Seeing as you can watch WWE and TNA current product on Youtube is there such a service for Puroresu? Do any of the companies offer online video or anything that people in or outside of Japan watch and keep up with the product?
Thanks.

openthedragongate.com all the tv shows and ppv's don't know if it's legal but given the layout and quality of the video my guess would be this site is officially endorsed

You can't watch wwe and tna in Japan on YouTube, so I imagine the opposite is also true. There's also a general reluctance (though it is changing) to embrace streaming and on demand over here since DVD publishers have such a tight grip on everything. New Japan's YouTube channel is pretty good for old stuff though. And there are the obvious shifty means.

While we're on the topic, does anyone know if stores like IVP Videos or match download sites like the DVDR board are legal? I really don't know how international copyright laws work in regards to Japanese wrestling and sports. Puro shows are almost never made available through any official distributor in North America, and buying from Japan doesn't seem like an option (a cheap one, at least).
I've heard it said that distributing Japanese stuff is technically illegal but the companies there don't really care. I do know, though, that IVP Videos had to stop selling Dragon Gate DVDs because DG told them not to. I don't know how that benefits them, though, as they don't really sell Dragon Gate stuff from Japan in North America. The best you can get from the DGUSA site is collections of Infinity for $50/season.
So, yeah, I don't get it. Does anyone?

I have no idea , but I have been buying from IVP for year's.Unless there is something I really want regards box and artwork I am not buying from Japan (well trying) it just isn't cost effective .As long as stuff is up on an easily found website and I am paying what they are asking , I don't think about it.
