I don't want to be mean, BUT......... Shane Douglas/Dominic DeNucci vs Lord Zoltan/ has just set a new standard for the worst match I have ever seen at the PWS show tonight. I know Dominic is in his early 70's or whatever and they wanted to have him do a match with Douglas as a tribute. But Dominic had no business being in the ring. Even in the suspended disbelief of pro wrestling, I couldn't believe that Dominic's offense would have any affect on their opponents. And Shane Douglas was only margainly better than Dominic. And there two opponents were two guys who were no help. And it would have been bad if it was 10 minutes. That would have been to long. But no. It didn't go 10 minutes. It didn't go 15 minutes. It went 20 FUCKING MINUTES!!! Again, I hate to be mean, but my god, that was attrocious. I remarked to John that this was perhaps the strangest combination of wrestlers I'd ever seen. Why JJ Dillon was cornering LORD ZOLTAN I had no idea. That said, aside from the Liger match, it was the most fun I had the entire show. "UNCLE LEO!" Overall I had a lot of fun. You had a really good mix of everything a crowd like this would want between 80's nostalgia, ECW nostalgia, Japanese style, ROH style, improv (Piper's Pit), women's, and even WrestleCrap in the form of the above.

I agree with Wai. It was a show that had something for everyone. I did not go in to this show expecting great work rate. I knew that this was not ROH. It was a very unique show that was based more around nostalgia than great in ring work.
I thought that the womens match was match of the night.
Did anyone else see Edge at the show? I was a few minutes late and I saw him walking up the stairs and posing for some pictures. I could have taken a picture to but I did not want to bother him.
BTW Wai I was sitting just to your left on the next section last row. I have seen you a bunch of times over the years at shows but I never said hello because I did not want to disturb you.

Aside from rare cases when I'm about to shoot an interview or go on-air, a hello and chat are never disturbances. We like talking to listeners. I mean, it's not like we're paparazzi famous or anything.

I obviously wasn't expecting work rate either, but that match was beyond bad.
The top 4 matches I would say were all in the 3 to 4 star range.
Strong and Liger was maybe 3 3/4, Generico and Elgin was probably 3 1/2, and Smith/Finlay and the women's match were around 3.
Nothing wrong at all with this card other than that 1 match. Was well worth my money.
Well I did leave before the main event though. I could care less about those ECW guys. Nothing against any of them, just had no interest in that match.
And did anyone else find the Vader/Necro Butcher finish really odd? I think Necro Butcher might have suffered a legit injury and they just ended it.
Edge was also apparently backstage at the Evolve show the night before. I didn't see him there, but I heard from a few people they saw him there on Friday night after the show.
And apparently Elgin was on first because he had to do another match at another show last night. Props to him!

Breakfast this morning was awesome. Whole weekend was cool meeting people, but for the most part it was a quick word as you posed for a photo or passed each other in the hallways. At the breakfast this morning you actually got to sit down and talk to whoever was at your table for over an hour. Tito Santana and Rick Martel were at my table. Great experience!

I thought the PWS show was pretty good. As mentioned earlier the card had something for everyone.
Best matches: Elgin/Generico Lufisto/? (forgot the opponents name) Strong/Liger
I'm a long time Liger fan, so meeting him and watching him wrestle for the first time was all I needed.

Kalamity was Lutfisto's opponent. That match was pretty good. Slow at times, but also pretty damn good at times.

i went Friday and Saturday and it was an AWESOME experience but there was a few flaws with the shows like Shane Douglas's match going WAY to long i would rather see the Necro Buthcer and Vader get more time, the Evolve pre show was lame minus Michael Elign winning and the show was hurt a bit with some talent not getting over the border but anything after Johnny Gargano vs. Chuck Taylor vs. Samuray Del Sol was atleast 4 stars, Chuck Taylor and Johnny Gargano are AMAZING

Again, I hate to be mean, but my god, that was attrocious. No I don't think you were being mean, you are spot on. It was painful and I have no clue what they were trying to do. Anyways the LuFisto match was entertaining and I got a LAW shirt - so I had a great time!

I ended up with about a half dozen shirts from this weekend.
a LAW one, a Dragon Gate USA one, a Super Smash Brothers one, and a El Generico one in Toronot, then when I got home I had a package waiting for Colt's website with 2 shirts in it.
