Ring of Honor this week was entirely highlights from Day One of Showdown in the Sun. Next week they advertised Day Two highlights without advertising the epic Richards v Elgin match. This may mean they are going to air the Richards v Elgin match in its entirety in two weeks. They did this the last time a match got a lot of attention (the 80 minute tag match).

well, as a person that bought both shows and enoyed neither of them, this kind of pisses me off... okay make good to the fans that paid by giving people that didn't pay free content. that said, the elgin richards match was greatness that may swing some people into watching the product more regularly and the buzz can only help, so it's a smart move if they do show it on tv. Like it or not it makes sense

If you are supposed to pay for it to get it, or deal with the advertising that goes with it, and you get it outside of those means, it's piracy. Not getting on a moral high horse, or hating, just saying. We all make that decision and have to deal with the consequences accordingly, right? Watch it through their website and they profit. Choose not too, neither worker gets paid. I'll wait until then.

My point is that piracy is not as ambiguous as this thread makes it sound like it is. If the original content creator puts it on their own account and willingly provides it for public consumption, it's not piracy.

it would be a smart idea to air Elgin vs. Richards on tv since it was so fucking great plus it helps get over both of them to their tv audience

I'll watch it if it gets on free TV. I'm not going to pay $20 for the DVD or replay just for one match. If they released single matches for streaming or download for $2 or less, I'd go for that.

I really enjoyed this match, very impressed with Elgin and have always been a fan of Davey Richards since his days wrestling in ECCW here in BC.

This week they showed highlights of Day 2 of Showdown in the Sun without any mention of the Richards v Elgin match. Next week they advertised a typical ROH show including the TV debut of Rhino. Absolutely nothing about the Richards v Elgin match which is perplexing. They could be keeping it off of TV to sell more DVDs, except for the fact that they didn't even mention the match once and nobody watching ROH on TV will know it existed or how great it was. I have no idea what they're doing. If they hyped up the match, it would've smashed the ROH TV ratings record and gained them the most exposure they've ever had in ten years as a company. Instead they are wasting a golden opportunity.

I would gladly pay $2 to be able to download this match, give us an A-la-carte option, especially when matches get that underground buzz.
