A WrestleMAnia XII story: I watched it at home...scrambled. Back then the cable companies would just have the ppvs scrambled with full audio. They'd always unscramble it as soon as the last match ended, and they did this time too. They didn't turn the scrambling back on so when they restarted the match so I got to see the real ending clear for free. It felt like a big deal to me at the time.

I would rent old VHS copies of Mania and other PPV's growing up, but the first one I ordered was XV. The first and only that I've attended live was X-8.

The first one I'd ever seen was WM X-8 (conveniently in my hometown of Toronto, but I couldn't get tickets). It was a pretty good show, Rock and Hogan was pretty legendary. That being said, the first WM after I started watching was WM 17. Of course, it was a a stellar show, the best Wrestlemania they've ever done IMO.

Though I started watching it in 1984 my first WrestleMania that I watched on PPV was WrestleMania 7 at my cousins house. I did watch WM 8 though the channel was scrambelled it was sore on the eyes but better than paying for it. The first WrestleMania that I ordered was WrestleMania 10 which I watched though I was sick that day. I say since WM 9 the only WM that missed watching on WM day was WM 24 only because I was on overnights plus I was getting the key to my house the next day.

My first LIVE wrestlemania was 13, however I use to live in a location that had no cable nor PPV so the first 12 I rented VHS and watched 8) and yes I saw them all.

Wrestlemania 24. I was 10 at the time and loved HBK vs Ric Flair. He should've just stopped wrestling then.

Wrestlemania 4 on VHS in 1991. And the first tape cut out before the end (it was on two vhs tapes). My videostore had a limited selection.
The first one I watched live in "scramble-vision" (because I wasn't allowed to order PPVs as a kid) was Wrestlemania 7.

I was literally a month late for Wrestlemania 19 when I started watching full time. I had seen wrestling prior to watching full time, I just never really grew a love for it until then. So then almost the entire year I was dazzled and amazed by an amazing rollercoaster ride of the road to Wrestlemania XX, which I think to this day is probably the best Mania ever, maybe based on it being my first one or it being the last really good one that I enjoyed front to back.

I did see the first 6 WM's on VHS but only months after it came out on video stores. WM 4 was a bit a of a pain cause it was on 2 VHD tapes.

My 1st Mania was 20. It aired for free on Sky Sports and I was so excited to watch it. Listening to the recent Review A Wai really brought back memories of waching it. I was never allowed to purchase the PPVs so I only got to see WM 21 and 22 on DVD. The 1st one I purchased was WM25. It was very disappointing. I ended up falling asleep while watching it.
