What was the first WrestleMania you watched as it happened?
Mine was WrestleMania III. I paid $15 to see it closed circuit on a big screen at the Garden City Arena in St. Catharines. Without audio. I still thought it was awesome.
The next year I watched WrestleMania IV the same way at the Welland Arena, but there was audio this time. After that I found local restaurants with satellite dishes that would show them. We didn't really have pay-per-view in Canada back then.
wrestlemania 9 recorded with my dad's video recorder. 3 weeks after the live event, cut version, in german television.

* Big fan of all kinds of sports, especially in winter.

WM XIX. I was never able to watch it when I was a kid because, as you all know, watching wrestling will warp your mind.
As I got older I realized that it was far more economical to buy the event on video/dvd than to shell out the money for the live viewing.
But a friend had purchased XIX and invited me and I was totally down....it was an interesting experience but I didn't feel like it made any difference, certainly not enough to shell out $50 or more....maybe if I was chipping in like for XIX that would make sense but, sadly, no one in my current circle of friends is a fan.

The first time I can recall watching a WrestleMani line was WrestleMania X. I was only five years old and I remember sitting in my living room watching it live. I do remember attending the Fan Festival the Friday before 'Mania X. I have watched every 'Maina since then live.

When I was younger I remember I would always rent the Wrestlemania's when they came out on VHS, But the first Wrestlemania I ever saw live was Wrestlemania X-Seven I went to a movie theatre to watch it with some friends from school. I have watched every Wrestlemania either at home or at a theatre or at a friends house since then. One of these years I got to see one in person.
