With them doing Tanahashi vs. Okada again for the Tokyo Dome show do you think New Japan are afraid to get behind someone new, especially after fans voted for Tanahashi vs. Nakamura over Okada vs. Neito last year? Really think you could have presented a fresher match with Styles as champ or put Nakamura back in the World title picture, I know Tanahashi/Okada will be great but I've seen it so many times already.

This is DC.
Wassup fellas.
1. Tell me more about Bushi. When I look at him, of course I see Rey Mysterio Jr. Fans seem to like him as he always has a little cheering section in the crowd. Can you recommend me a few matches that he really shined?
2. I was reading an article on WWE.com with the NXT 5 (Steen, Devitt, Neville, Zayn, KENTA) and they brought up Kota Ibushi as being someone that WWE would have their sights on in the future. Ricochet is another person that comes to mind. What are the chances of both of them being signed by WWE in the future?
3. Speaking of Kota Ibushi, there was supposed to be a Tanahashi/Ibushi match on the 2nd day of the G1 but of course Ibushi was out with the concussion. Are there any plans for them to lock up anytime soon? I think a LOT of people would love to see that match. Almost reminds me of the 90s when Liger and Muta finally locked up. Of course Kota isn't on Liger's level but basically the best jr vs. the best heavyweight going at it.

There will be a new show next week and lots to talk about between Global League, Sack Sabre Jr.'s Korakuen match, a great Power Struggle, Wrestle Kingdom, and the mystery around 'NJPW World'. What do you think of the Dome card? Would you pay for a streaming NJPW on demand service? Any other questions?

I would absolutely pay for NJPW on demand because, if Ustream is no longer a partner, I have no other legal way of seeing New Japan Pro.
With regards to the Dome card, I'm looking forward to the event, but I'm disappointed that Styles didn't carry the belt all the way to the Dome for a big payoff versus a Japanese hero.
As John and Wai discussed briefly this week, what do you guys think of the rumour that Jim Ross might call a New Japan show in 2015, perhaps even Wrestle Kingdom? Their reactions were mixed, but I believe that if you have access to the best English-speaking wrestling broadcaster in history, you take advantage of it.

Looking forward to the Dome Show. Aj and Naito should tear the house down and matches like Ishii vs Makabe and Ibushi vs Nakamura make me salivate. Tanahashi vs Okada is going to be great as always.
Do you guys think All Japan is going to be more competitive when NOAH finally dies and both companies fuse back together again?

Hi guys, really enjoy the show. I was wondering your guys opinion on the best way for a foreigner to get tickets to a wrestling show in Japan. I'm going on my honeymoon to Tokyo and my other half is cool with checking out a wrestling show while we are there. We are probably gonna be there October 2015 so I'd like to check out king of pro wrestling at sumo hall. The options I've heard about are ticket machines in the convenience stores although I don't read Japanese. Do the people who work there usually speak a little English? I also thought of going to sumo hall the day of to buy a ticket but the fact this years version was announced as a sell out a day ahead of time worries me since I would get to japan only a few days before the show. I've also just thought to ask the concierge at whatever hotel we stay at( a western hotel franchise most likely) to help since the concierge at hotels in the states have helped me get tickets for events in the past. Any help or guidance you guys can give is much appreciated. Take care.

Hey guys, love the show. I'd have to say Tanahashi is the best heavyweight. The man is simply relentless in his work ethic. Best Tag Team - Young Bucks Best Character - Nakamura (always Nakamura). Best Match - AJ Styles vs Minoru Suzuki, G1 day 7
I haven't tried NJPW World, but I'll probably get it for the Tokyo Dome Show. Speaking of which, to which match are you most looking forward? I'm not overly enthused about another Tanahashi-Okada match, but Nakamura-Ibushi had my fvourite match of 2013, so I hope their's will be great again.

Really Really awesome site so far. If the streaming service works great as well this thing gets an A+ from me. What random matches did you guys stumble across so far that you can recommend? I watched the two Karl Gotch matches on there amazing what the guy could pull off in his late 40's and 50's. Would love to see him in his prime.

As well as recording a preview show Monday for wk9, we'll be back on January the fifth with special guest Dan Lovranski! Mouth will help us break down the show and look ahead to 2015. In the meantime, we definitely want your wk9 feedback, whether you're watching the English ppv feed or the japanese version on NJPW world, and as ever, drop us your questions over the next week here or on Twitter.

I just listened to your year end awards after finally catching up on all of NJPW's 2014. Here are my top ten matches for the year:
****3/4 1. Kazuchika Okada vs. Shinsuke Nakamura (NJPW G1 Finals) 2. Tomohiro Ishii vs. Hirooki Goto (NJPW Power Struggle) 3. Minoru Suzuki vs. AJ Styles (NJPW G1 N7) 4. The Young Bucks vs. reDRagon (ROH/NJPW War Of The Worlds)
****1/2 5. KUSHIDA vs. Ricochet (NJPW Best of the Super Juniors Finals) 6. Tomohiro Ishii vs. Tetsuya Naito (NJPW The New Beginning N2) 7. Tomoaki Honma vs. Tomohiro Ishii (NJPW G1 N4) 8. Tomohiro Ishii vs. Kota Ibushi (NJPW Back To The Yokohama Arena) 9. Kota Ibushi vs. Ricochet (NJPW Dominion) 10. Kazuchika Okada vs. Kota Ibushi (NJPW Strong Style 42nd Anniversary)
A couple of questions: What do you see for Ishii in the coming year? Does he need time off to heal in order to move up the card? Or do you see him being unable to move into the IWGP Heavyweight Title picture, no matter what he does?
What is Ricochet's status with Dragon Gate? He was the star of the BOSJ tournament, and had a great match with Ibushi, but it really wasn't followed up on.
Minoru Suzuki and Yuji Nagata are two of my favorites on the New Japan roster, and while I can see why they aren't constants near the top of the card, I think occasional main events and more frequent major singles matches/programs are more than deserved. Where do you see them going in 2015?
Repsonse to your Bullet club discussion - I think Styles, Omega, Fale, Anderson, Gallows would be a perfect scaled down group. Heavyweight, Jr., Enforcer, and Tag team. Yujiro has been awful (save for the one great Ishii match), Tonga is a background piece at most (although rumors of them wanting Haku to come and be in his corner for even a show or two is bad ass), and you're right to say the Bucks don't need it. Although they definitely love selling the BC merch in North America.
