Well that didn’t take long.
Such dominance, needing almost 10 minutes to beat Emma (someone who could barely make it on RAW and when she does loses to Nia in under a minute).
The next night she goes 50/50 again with Emma to crickets.
Why bother with all the hype videos if she’s going to be the same as everyone else?
Hey maybe she’ll be wearing a red t shirt and invade Smackdown next!

So we just pick and choose on when squash matches being antiquated and how everyone are jobbers when it's performer specific? The chick who won a 4 way to face her should've lost in 45 seconds. ...effectively making the entire division look like shit compared to her. ..which just kills any potential opponent for Asuka later down the line. I guess taking offense from Billie Kay was somehow different?

I agree with Deezy. I don't want to see Asuka winning with squash matches. I want to see her wrestle because when she does, she's very good at it. She doesn't mean nothing. She is just not Goldberg. She can have five star matches with Sasha, Bailey and others and that's what matters to me. I don't care about her being a killing machine, I want her to elevate the quality of the matches in WWE. Look at Emma, she's at last able to display a bit of her in ring skills, I am pleased for her.

Remember when AJ Styles did the job to Chris Jericho at his first Wrestlemania last year? Remember when Charlotte's main roster debut was a clean loss to Natalya? How about Samoa Joe losing to Seth Rollins in just his second pay-per-view match?
And we never heard from any of them again...

Since when do they care about making Emma look strong? She never wins. Why start now?
The whole goal was to make Asuka look special and they didn't do that. She barely beat a joke.
The difference between guys like Joe/Styles/Charlotte and Asuka is those people can speak english effectively and get their heat back. Asuka can't - they will script her horribly and she'll die a slow death.
Look what happened to Nakamura - remember everyone saying just wait? Well he also means nothing. He's booked to lose all the time and cant do anything about it because he cant talk. Exact same thing will happen with Asuka, only much faster because the women are protected even less than the men (look at Sasha and Bayley).

You may be right from a booking perspective. I, first and foremost, watch wrestling for the wrestling so if I know that Emma and Asuka can have a good match then I want to see it. I don't think about how she should win.

I think it would have been a step back if they did squashes again with her. We've already seen that a ton. And much like deezy said, Emma won a match to face Asuka. Having Asuka destroy Emma then hurts the other 3 she beat and then you have no matches you want to see from her. I'm gonna give it time, it's only been a couple of days.

Squashes get people over, which is what they need to do with Asuka. The majority of the audience doesn't watch NXT so why should anyone care about someone who can barely beat Emma?
All the matches against Emma did was put Asuka in a slot where she's the same as everyone else.
And was the match against Emma "good"? It did more for Emma than anything - why make Emma look good now after years of treating her like a loser? Just makes no sense. No one is special and that's why there is ZERO reaction during any women's matches (look at the triple threat last night)

Well, again I don't think about history or booking but Emma is good in ring so she deserves at least 10 minute matches on PPV. Furthermore, I think it was her first solo ppv match on the main roster, was it not ?

Lost me at "can't speak english"....
Emma isn't a jobber, she's midcard and a good gatekeeper.
And God forbid women get more time to tell their story...especially on a ppv with a thinned out roster due to illness.

Is english a first language for Asuka? Promos aren't her strength - kicking ass is. So why give Emma so much damn offence?
If Emma isn't a jobber why was she losing to Nia in a minute a few months ago?
They're just making it up as they go along but why all the hype for Asuka? Whats the point?

So I guess anyone who doesn't speak has to be the silent killer stereotype from James Bond movies....yeah ok.
Also...the ppv was thin...they needed the time. Why else would Elias Sampson and Jason Jordan get 3 segments?
Nah....we needed a 45 second squash match....because Nia Jax did it a month ago that everyone remembers....let's not remember Emma beating 3 former champions to get the opportunity to face Asuka afterwards. ...it's the squash match, the character building squash match that resulted in her getting actual ring time...nahhh....needed a squash...forget about showcasing Asukas in ring skill...she should've been booked like Goldberg because she can't work 25 like he couldn't.

How was she showcased? She sold for half the match to a loser.
If the PPV was "thin" - then make it 2.5 hours instead of eight.
The whole "storyline" made no sense. Why would anyone want to fight Asuka? She's never lost and kills people. But no, all the "sports entertainers" want to "entertain" and have a good match. So stupid.
And then they wonder why no one is over...
