Under boxing rules, Tyson Fury is the supposedly lineal b4a champ That has been addressed in the link as well. One other explanation offers a good reason why that would not be the case: "although he has been stripped of all other boxing titles due to not defending them we can assume he would have his BFA title stripped" Source: www.reddit.com/r/SquaredCircle/comments/6hn26t/mayweather_vs_mcgregor_will_be_for_the_lineal/dizl34n/Another interesting point: "The Brawl For All wasn't strictly boxing. It had some weird wrestling rules integrated into it, thus technically making it MMA. The loss Butterbean had against Sudo was an MMA match. So if it can only be defended in MMA matches, then Connor can't defend it against Floyd because they'll be in a boxing match" Source: www.reddit.com/r/SquaredCircle/comments/6hn26t/mayweather_vs_mcgregor_will_be_for_the_lineal/dj026go/Clearly this is debatable. However, it should be noted that this tournament is a product of the WWF/WWE. This company only recognizes it's own rules when it is convenient. While this was a "boxing" tournament, one must consider that in the loosest sense of the idea. I suspect the debate will never end. So for the sake of just killing this stupid tournament once and for all, I'm going to go with OP on this one and I'm just giving it to Floyd if he wins, IDGAF.

That reminds me... anybody have an updated link that follows the lineal WWE titles? I used to use this site: www.voicesofwrestling.com/wwe-linear-championship/Updates stopped there at the end of 2015 and their Twitter account stopped in October when the lineage became disputed due to an unconfirmed house show result. Thanks in advance.
