I'd love to see him turn heel on Taker during a segment or something on Raw, beat him down, call him a bitch and tell him again that this is his yard now.
This leads to a match at Mania, that Reigns wins and solidifies him as a top heel. The promos he could cut would be great, he's got something about him that screams heel, and I really felt it when he stared down Taker after throwing him out of the Rumble.
He then comes out on the Raw after Mania and says that he's destroyed Taker, and now wants to destroy another legend - Brock Lesnar (fresh off winning the title from Goldberg at Mania).
This leads to a match at Summerslam, or before, where Reigns defeats Brock and becomes champion.
I really believe this will make the guy and put him in a place where he can thrive, cut asshole heel promos and have a long title reign.

I think it's worth a shot giving him a heel run, if anything you could end up turning the fans back around and making them finally like him and if that happens then WWE finally get Reigns in the likable spot. If that isn't how it goes then you have the potential to have a great heel here. WWE have seemingly always booked their babyfaces as pricks/unlikable and Reigns is in that spot right now. I've also found that many wrestlers have truly found themselves when put in a heel role, I can only see this as helping the guy down the line. I've got no problem with his in ring work I just think he isn't working as a top babyface.

It does feel a bit like WWE has started "turning into the skid" with Reigns. They knew he would get huge boos as #30, knew he would get huge boos for eliminating Taker, and knew he would get huge boos when it looked like he was going to win the Rumble. And on RAW they had him ruin a title match. Even with Strowman and Owens both positioned as heels, no live crowd wants to see a title match (especially one where a title change feels like a real possibility) end in a DQ. And they know going forward that anybody short of a returning Daniel Bryan will be the heel in a program with the Undertaker.
Of course, we'll have to see what happens next, since I could also see the rumored/teased Reigns vs. Strowman match as the start of a big babyface push for Roman as a conquering hero.

Agree with pretty much all of the above.
He could do with a few extra moves, even basic ones, to fill out his in-ring work. I do like him, and although he has said some dumb as hell shit in interviews which has done him no favours at all, he's been booked badly, and that's really hurt him. Need to give him a chance and if booked right, I honestly see him as potentially the best heel in a while.
Imagine an arrogant prick, he thinks he's better than everyone else, he'd hit on your girlfriend in a club, cut in line and not apologise type heel. There's money in that.

I don't want a heel turn, why placate the neckbeards who can't help themselves and actually admit they like babyfaces.

We all love a good baby face. Unfortunately he's a terrible baby face and has heel written all over him.

We all said we wanted Seth as a babyface.....Then we complain about his push.
Sound familiar?

We all said we wanted Seth as a babyface.....Then we complain about his push. Sound familiar? Seth was finally poised to hit his stride, after a great segment on the last NXT Takeover show, and being the sympathetic victim of a beatdown courtesy of Samoa Joe. And then the knee...

Triple H sent Savage Joe to take out Reckless Rollins because he's scared to work with a guy who hurt all his signees.

Yes I wanted Seth as a baby face but his push up until recently had been really bad. Sure, we can want a turn from someone but it has to be done right, and we are allowed to complain if something is done badly.

Also very little changed when Seth turned, it was the same heel character just in a babyface light. The problems he was having in that heel role was so much worse when he turned face. He just didn't translate well.

He just didn't translate well. Agreed. It's like Ziggler. What's changed? Nothing at all. Reigns doesn't even need to change his music. People hear it and boo him anyway. There has never been a clearer case for a character change. What exactly is going to endear Roman to the crowd as a face? They've tried everything. Him coming out at 30 at the Rumble and then throwing Taker out doesn't scream face to me. Vince is either completely stubborn/oblivious or these are the seeds for a turn.

I did understand the stubbornness when it came to not turning Cena for all those years as while he was getting booed he was still the best merch seller. From what I've heard Reigns isn't that, many out sell his merch. Also like you mentioned it seems (many agree) that WWE are fully aware of the fans dislike of him as they use that to make the fans happy for a result that they probably wouldn't be normally aka Orton winning the rumble. Plus Reigns has time on his side, he's only 7 years in and just over 30. He can fit in a heel run and go back to babyface eventually, hopefully by then the fans would be more ready for it.
