I don't think there's a need to wait until after the go-home show for this one... plus that only gives us a couple days to get our two cents in. Royal Rumble thread coming after next week's Raw and Smackdown.
Bobby Roode d. Shinsuke Nakamura: Hard for me to imagine this being the only meeting between the two, which I suppose means I think that Roode should win this one. Unless Nakamura is making the jump very soon (a huge mistake in my eyes), the rematch is the main event for the Wrestlemania weekend show in Orlando.
Nikki Cross d. Asuka, Billie Kay and Peyton Royce: This match reeks of "cheap ways to take the belt of Asuka." Maybe even something uber-schmozzy like Billie Kay lets Peyton Royce pin her (or vice versa), but I'll pick Cross because Sanity looks like a real focal point going forward. Unlike Nakamura, I hope Asuka is on her way up soon and they're saving a program with Ember Moon for the main roster.
DIY d. The Authors of Pain: Maybe a fluke/DQ finish here, but I have DIY retaining but Authors of Pain staying strong. Also, I have the other two titles flipping.
Eric Young d. Tye Dillinger: Like it or not, this is Dillinger's role. Maybe he steals a win and then gets beatdown after, but like the AoP, I think Sanity stands tall at the end of the segment.
Two matches that might happen: Roderick Strong vs. Andrade Almas: I would think Roderick Strong, but on a rare trip to wwe.com, I noticed that Almas is all over the NXT branding. So maybe he has a push on the way?
No Way Jose d. Kona Reeves: Is Reeves a "real guy" that I don't know about or a guy they're creating to give a somewhat meaningful win to No Way Jose? Based on what I know, I'll pick Jose in a glorified squash.

I think Ember Moon will get a title shot against Asuka at the next Takeover. The rest of your picks make sense tho. Champion Bobby Roode will need a babyface opponent for a TV title defence. Enter Roderick Strong.

I kind of see Nakamura retaining and Roode beating him in a rematch later. I also agree with Zekey that I think Asuka will keep the title to lose it to Ember Moon down the line, honestly I don't know why that isn't the match here.

going with Nakamura to retain. I see him losing at the Mania Takeover and then coming up to the main roster shortly after Mania. I agree that there is an easy out for Asuka to lose the title. Which might even be needed. Not for a single second over the past 10 months has there been somebody that I think could actually beat Asuka. DIY to retain Eric Young needs to beat Tye Dillenger Almas/Strong could go either way. Almas has been so much better the last couple of appearances. I think they need to keep building on that.

Well the crowd for the most part were not overbearing like others have e been, so kudos to them.
Although I still think the ten chants during ref counts really takes away from the drama but it looks like it's not going anywhere.
Match of the night was the tag team title match.
Most of the rest ended a little flat and the main event finish made both look bad IMO.
Nakamura now looks like reckless idiot who has Kevin Nash knees and the new champion looks like he's just lucky the ref didn't stop the match because he was knocked as they say "the fuck out".

Watched some of Takeover early this morning. I also loved the tag match. It's nothing new that Gargano and Ciampa are outstanding, but I also think the Authors of Pain are very good at knowing what they can do and what guys their size would do "if it was a shoot" (for lack of a better term) and executing it well. Currently tough to picture AoP looking good against a team that's not drastically undersized in comparison, but that's what developmental - and smart booking - are for.
Didn't love the finish of the main event in and of itself. But making the safe assumption that this storyline isn't over, I can deal with it. Roode didn't have to cheat (aside from the normal "crafty heel" bits of business) but still doesn't get a completely clean win. The rematch will be excellent.
Need to go back and watch the rest of the card later.

I'm a bit upset that AoP are the tag champs mainly because I adore DIY and wanted them to have more of a run with them. I also think AoP will struggle in that top tag spot, it was almost inevitable that they were going to get the tag straps but thought it would be a little later down the line.
As for Roode/Nakamura I see it as a way to do a rematch and you kind of want the title on Roode as Nakamura will likely move on to the main roster sooner rather then later. I like both guys anyways, been a fan of Roode since his heel turn in TNA after Team Canada broke up and have always loved Nakamura so I'm all for more matches between the 2.
