The brackets for this weekends tournament have been revealed. Some interesting pairings.

Think Andrews goes out to Dunne, though I'd like the welshmen to win as I'm biased. Think Dunne and Seven final. Can't wait to watch it :-)

Couldn't name any of these guys out of a line up.

Though seems a bit telegraphed if you see the way they were lined up in the roll call photo...! I wonder if they may get behind Seven, have him as a fan favourite for the tourney but then turn as soon as he gets the title. He has a bit more personality than "PETAAAAA!" Maybe then reveal they are in cahoots as BSS.

Poor Roy Johnson, really there just to be killed by Dunne. I'm thinking Seven/Dunne as the finals as well although personally would love to see Wolfgang go deep. That guy is really underrated in my opinion. I do agree that Seven is so much good as a heel, just watched Unboxing Live from Progress and everything he did was just awesome. While Dunne is a good heel in ring I feel Seven is a good heel all round. But he also works well face, really if you're not going with Dunne then I'd go with Seven.

recognize some of those names. I have been high on Pete Dunne ever since I saw him in CHIKARA like 3 years ago. Mark Andrews can obviously fly. Will be passing on the Saturday show (my son's birthday party is on at the same time), but I hope to catch Sunday's show.

All excited to watch this Saturday, only to get in from work and my wife's invited the family over for food Saturday Night. So even though my wife's a casual fan looks like I'll be watching this show at midnight when everyone's gone home...

Don't know a whole lot about British wrestling but just by reputation and such, I'll go with a Trent Seven vs Pete Dunne finals.

saw a little bit of night 1 and most of night 2.
Dunne/Andrews was outstanding (shocking news, I know). Dunne was the star of the tournament. Him being a heel champion and a money babyface doing a long chase is going to be outstanding stuff.

Too many flatliners and too many suicide dives.
Other than that, was OK. Count outs should be eliminated from now on....People chanting "ten" take the drama out of it.
Also Cole and McGuiness were fantastic together, Cole was my MVP of the two shows. Anyone who shits on his play by play can just sit in a corner and think about their wrongness and wallow in it.

Interesting choice in winner. He wasn't my pick but I'm happy with it.

Definitely agree about the suicide dives. Went to a Progress show where there were at least 2 per match. Do something too much and it loses it's impact. Seems stupid to have this happen to what is actually quite a dangerous move (just ask Mr Bryan...!) . Could just go the New Japan/Progress route of having a 20 count instead! Would then negate the need for the ref either seemingly struggling to count towards double digits or constantly needing to 'use their discretion' as emphasised by Cole a couple times. Would certainly help out Ibushi I do also agree that Cole gets some unfair flak. His job is to call it down the middle and allow the colour guys to provide the personality while calling the match in a way tailored to the casual audience, which he has been doing pretty successfully for years now. That being said, he did seem to come alive this weekend while unshackled to Vince in his earpiece. Throroughly enjoyed the event as a whole. Surprised by the final outcome but Dunne demonstrated he doesn't need the belt to make an immediate impact. The fact he was the only one who had an actual storyline across the 2 nights shows they obviously have big plans for him. Surprised by Seven going out so early but again assuming he has also been signed he has enough personality to get over by himself without the win behind him. But overall, great tourney with great booking, simple storytelling and excellent work rate on display over the weekend. A worthy taster of what the UK has to offer.
