Am I the only one to think that he should score his opponents out of ten after his matches/victories ?
He should have numbers from 0 to 10. He would give 0 to jobbers and then he would never give anything close to 5 so that when he gives a 6 it's a huge moment.
I don't know, I think it's a good idea.

I think that could work great in promos or guest commentary spots.

I think he needs to drop this lame gimmick and focus on his promo skills. Fuck anyone who thinks this ddp ripoff schtick is worth our time in this day and age.

But isn't the gimmick essentially that everything he does is a perfect 10? It's more about him than his opponent.

I agree but it's very limited. He should extend it.

The few promos he's done with this gimmick have been awesome. It has legs on that front, he just hasn't been given the chance to show it. Plus the best guys can take a superficially lame gimmick and run with it. Look at Cena.

Lame NXT would fall flat on the main roster.
Any NXT gimmick fails, the ones who just debut as wrestlers are the ones who got success.
Ascension, Emma, Tyler Breeze, Bo Dallas are exqmples of nxt gimmicks never making the transition.
Sami, Owens, Enzo and Cass, Baron Corbin are all examples of wrestlers making the transition.

They never were given the chance to make it. Likely because Vince was never behind them. Of the others you describe, you can hardly call Zayn an unqualified success, again because he has (until recently) not been given the push, while Enzo and Cass aren't exactly over because of their work rate, more Enzo's mic skills. Owens is Trip's pet project and Corbin is your typical McMahon big man and so got a push way before ready, though again to be fair he is now showing signs of improvement. The gimmick is fine, so is Dillinger's workrate and promos. If gotten behind he could be incredibly over. But the fact he has been in developmental for so long, even after hitting on a gimmick that has caught fire, does not fill me with hope.

Here's the thing with Dillinger - he's turning 36 in February and is still a nobody to most of the audience.
The time to call him up is now and let him sink or swim. The fact that guys like Roode, Joe, Nakamura and Aries are wasting away in developmental in their late 30s boggles my mind.

NXT is a touring brand that is now being used to help anchor their big 4 ppv weekends. Star power like Nakamura, Joe and the TNA guys are better off being big fish in small ponds then having us bitch about them being lost in the shuffle on the main roster.

Selfishly, I want Nakamura and Joe to stay in NXT so they can have more freedom in their matches.
Obviously financially for them and their family, it would be best for them to get the call up to the main roster.

He's one of those great live performers that get a crowd going, but if he doesn't move up soon it might be that he moves into player coach at the centre. He's been in and around the development system for years.
