I'm a very new UFC viewer but that first fight Pickett vs Johnson!?? That was amazing seeing all the transitions.
Did anyone else think last nights event was a brilliant showcase for UFC? They seemed to have fights that showcased the whole sport - submissions, flash KOs, point scoring wins and some great tatical fighting. I really enjoyed the show last night ... it was on at a reasonably sensible time for the UK aswell which is always a bonus.

Hope everyone got in on Siyar at + money like I said you all should.
I was really shocked at how many people were picking Thiago Silva to beat Gustaffson. Thiago's biggest win was over Keith Jardine. Think about that for a second people.

I'd never seen Siyar fight so I wouldn't of known. Thiago's biggest win was tBrandon Vera imo but, I think the athletic commission disallowed it. I still consider it a win in my mind.

Glad to see Thoresen win, getting some attention here in Norway where MMA is still illegal.

I didn't even know it was illegal over there. I would think it would be a popular fighting country.

Yeah, no boxing, no nothing with knockouts I believe. It's up for debate now. We have a female boxer who is doing quite good, Cecilia Brækhus. But I'm not too optimistic about any near-future MMA-legality. You can fight so hard and try to make people understand, but one news report with footage from the first UFC and we're back to square one. I even remember this one article in the newspaper about it, he was extremely negative about this. This is not the fake and innocent pro wrestling, he warned us. I'd like to show him som injury rates.
Why would we be a fighting country? There are some activity, of course. Especially now, as it is growing all over the world, I suppose. There are some gyms in the larger cities. Fairly good ones too, I believe. But we have to go over to Sweden or Denmark or wherever else to fight real matches.
