Hogan will be welcomed back by Mania, that racist heat will be dead by than, barring something majorly stupid done by the Hogan camp.

That Hogan stuff is unforgivable. This grown adult who's been to every country and befriended every people has those thoughts on black people?!

I hope you're being facetious, motherfucker was pissed at his daughter dating some nobody rapper. Everyone has said some racist shit in their lifetime. Hogan said a universal truth on that tape "I guess we're all a little racist at times".

It might be my white man privilege, but I forgive Hogan. No one would ever be good enough to date a man's own daughter. He just took the low road with insults. Didn't he say it 10 years ago on tape? I don't think he'll be back soon, but he'll be back.
Even if WWE is erasing Hogan from their library, I had some downtime and watched the Network last night. Hogan is still all over there. Like #28 wrestler of all time, a big part of the WrestleMania Behind the Scenes.
On topic, I'm entertained by John's predictions whether they come true or not. Only one I truly hope doesn't happen is the Owens title run.

I don't see Hogan coming back. Nothing about his racist comments, I just think he'll probably do something else really stupid in the future. He's a man who's constantly making dumb decision on a big platform.
As for John's picks I pretty much agree with him, especially after hearing his reasoning for them.

Our first real update:
At WrestleMania, WWE retired the WWE Divas Championship. Therefore, Bayley will not be able to win this championship as John predicted.
However, if Bayley ends up winning the WWE Women's Championship, I think we should credit John for having correctly predicted this.

Same difference, but yes you are correct. Hey the year isn't over yet Eva Marie could win it and make the push for the divas championship again. The hardcore wrestling fans will be drown out by the guys that just want to see hot chicks like Brian from Eagle Lake, TX.

I think he should get a half point. haha.
I am changing my pick though. I don't think Bayley will win the WWE title in 2016. When I made that prediction, I was thinking that Bayley would get called up right after Wrestlemania and then win the title late in the year. But now I don't think she is going to get called up til Summerslam, and there won't be enough time left in the year for her to win the title.

I figured I'd update this thread to look at the prediction that Jon Jones would regain the UFC Light Heavyweight Championship. We may need a ruling on this.
Jones looks like he will be suspended, at least for six months if not for two years. If so, he will not be able to defeat Cormier this year for the LHW title. However, this is really tricky. Technically, Jones already won the Interim Light Heavyweight Championship with his win over Saint Preux. UFC looks really stupid making that fight for an interim championship in hindsight. To be honest, many scoffed at that decision when it was announced.
So how would we rule on that? Did Jones reclaim the Light Heavyweight Title in 2016? He won a tune-up fight for the interim title. Is that enough?

Is that enough? Reclaimed is the key word. The Light Heavyweight Championship is held by Daniel Cormier. Jon Jones never "reclaimed" that title. And while I'm not sure what this page looked like prior to the suspension, it appears to support that statement: www.ufc.com/fighter/Weight_Class/Light_Heavyweight. JoPo is hanging in there pretty well on the WWE questions... I'd say with half of 2016 gone, only the Finn Balor question is safe to consider an incorrect prediction.

I live in a world where interim titles do not exist.
My world is awesome.

Here is our first definite.
Finn Balor was 'drafted' to the Raw brand. Therefore, John's prediction that he would not be brought up to the main roster was not correct.

I think you can cross out the Jon Jones heavyweight title one. With his suspension, he won't be fighting again this year.
