We're all familiar and are big fans of John's vast array of wrestling-related impressions.
But checking back in with The Ross Report, good ol' JR has a bunch of impressions, too - and he even does them during his ads! Terry Funk, Jim Barnett, Dusty Rhodes, Stu Hart...and they're all pretty darn good.
I'm posting this in case it could spur a conversation between John and Jim where they spend part of it only speaking to each other as various pro wrestling legends. I would really enjoy that.

I'm actually in the midst of updated the Top 44 John Pollock impressions by listening to all the Review-A-Raws and Review-An-Impacts. Then I was going to tweet it at Jim Ross, because he is very good at his impressions also.
Currently I'm at 60 impressions and lots more of the one already on the list.

As far as a "meeting of the minds" is concerned, the concept is possible. John Pollock has worked with Jim Ross for his live shows in the past. John also appeared on The Ross Report to help review WWE Battleground.

John Pollock would be the Canadian Jim Ross, if he wasn't already the Bret Hart of wrestling journalism.

Not a fan of JR's Terry Funk impression. Not even that it's bad necesarily, just he seems to do it about 3 times per show. Really getting sick of it.

JR being all Rich Little (dated reference) on his podcast commercials is great.

I don't believe for a single second that JR has ever once used a single one of the products that he promotes.
Jericho for example makes me believe he does. JR, not so much. I remember in his first couple episodes JR had to claim that he played video games. That was comedy gold.

I can totally buy Jim playing poker on his iPad to kill time in airports.

I can totally buy Jim playing poker on his iPad to kill time in airports. Yeah if you can't trust good old JR, who can you trust. I know he's mentioned DDP yoga on the show but has never claimed to have used it and I totally believe that.

I can totally buy Jim playing poker on his iPad to kill time in airports. This. When we were playing Super Nintendo, my grandad was playing a handheld video poker and blackjack games. They still count as video games.

People who don't see the irony of questioning the credibility of someone, whose sole job is to work people provides me with much merriment.
Trust a wrestler....trust a carny who tells you the games ain't rigged?
