I was disappointed with the 26th of July The LAW show. A caller was allowed to use racial slurs, namely the word cr*cker, without no backlash and instead two hosts were actually PRAISING the caller how in line he was in expressing himself. Patting the back of a racist caller whilst assuming his ethnicity and giving him leeway because of the assumption of his background is also blatant, positive racism. What irony, since the this particular episode tried to be so racial slur sensitive in the context of slurs towards an another ethnicity. Please stop conforming to blatant racists. It makes you all come off as non professionals, racist, hypocrites and not worthy of influencing people. Stop the racism. Outside that, a great program. Any thoughts from the board members?

This a joke?
Funny how people take this great umbrage to so called "reverse racism" which in itself is a stupid word concocted by people trying to distinguish themselves from literal racism....it's all racism.
But hypocritical? Cracker isn't bad, you can say it, because it isn't a trigger word. Call an Italian "guinea"...it's fine. Call them Wop and its bad.
You can call an aboriginal "Indian" and it's still socially acceptable.
Why? I don't know.
To quote somebody "we're all a little racist brother".

Ya, the caller from Houston was wrong for his language. I understand "Cracker" is a term refering to white people who cracked whips (i may be wrong). So to generalize all white people in that category he would be wrong. Its less bad if he only used it to describe Hogan.

Deezy, you can go on toting your racial slurs in the context of how your own society wages them different somehow, all you want. Doesn't change the fact you are using racial slurs thus being a racist or at least coming off as one, if you choose to use them.

Give your head a shake. You need to do some critical thinking and read some alternative educated opinions on the subject because your "understanding" of it is hopelessly naive.

Doesn't change the fact you are using racial slurs thus being a racist or at least coming off as one, if you choose to use them. Its all about context. Trying to compare slurs with others is silly as they don't share the same history and don't share te same pain that goes with it. Typical white guilt fighting back when it comes to white slurs. "Stop being racist guys" because pushback from minorities stemming from hundreds of years of one form of racism is the same.......yeah I bet a rapist is against rape when it happens to them. Bet Cosby wouldn't like his drinks spiked either.

Your personal gospel? Why did you even participate on this discussion? You had nothing to add. Go away. Also deezy, you make sense in your own social context. Globally this context isn't the same at all. Slurs are slurs, racism is racism.

I asked thoughts obviously in the context of netiquette. Something at least adults should be able to handle. Not just straight being a child.

But yeah, I'm probably pissing people off. Was not my original idea, but here we are. Still hoping, if there could be a discussion about the things that were said in the program. Since slurs were allowed in a slur criticising show. Which makes no sense.

The subject line of this thread is offensive, plain/simple.

How? I made a claim and rationalized it. Not the most popular opinion, but I stand by it. The show offended me, you all know you allowed racial slurs on the show, condoned it, thus making you the same as what the caller was. Racist. Simple as that. Applauding the racist.

It would make more sense Mike if you elaborated. Now you are basically saying 'naive'. In the sense of 'I want to join this conversation by saying you are 'naive'. Which is fine. But doesn't hold any ground.

I don't like real life issues getting in the way of my escape from reality.
