I want to purchase the WWE network in Canada but from my understanding I can’t because I'm not a TV cable subscriber. That is complete BS!
Why do I need to be a cable tv subscriber before I can purchase the WWE network? I never watch cable, why force fans to buy something they don't use. I just want to purchase the WWE network stand alone, like how you can in the States. Like how you can with Netflix. I'll gladly pay the $12 a month for the WWE network on its own, but until they get rid of this ridiculous cable tv requirement they won't have my business. I know their goal is 3 million subscriber base, it's 1 less with me. Not until I can purchase WWE network by itself. I guess the WWE would prefer me to watch their special events by “other” means….

You can use an IP blocker, sign up using an American address, and sign-up for the US version of the WWE Network. A number of Canadian and other international subscribers had been doing that for a long time.

Hey everyone. So I read John Pollock's update today and he mentioned that WWE has now lifted the geo-block for anyone wanting to watch WWE Network in Canada. Do we just sign up for the network on the WWE website and we should get the online version no problem now, with no need for an IP blocker? I am trying out the TV version we get from Rogers this month and the On Demand channel doesn't seem to have much to offer compared to what all of the other countries are getting. Does this news mean we can access the US version online now?

I tried to sign up but it keeps taking me to the WWE Canada page, telling me to sign up with the cable networks. I'm confused.

Come to think of it, all of this live Wrestlemania programming that is supposed to have been happening over the last few days doesn't show up on the Canadian version of the network. For example, tonight's hall of fame ceremony is not in the program guide. Is anyone else finding this?

Yeah. I just double checked and realized I was looking a week early. Haha. My bad. The On Demand content is still pretty weak though.

I'm still holding out for a full version of the network. I'd like to avoid the hassles of IP blockers and whatnot. I just wanna sign up and watch whatever I want whenever I want.

I mean, WWE deserves plenty of criticism for the Network... but that it fails to transcend the space/time continuum seems a bit much

WWE netowkr (the online version) is available to Canadians, you register going in with your credentials used at (in my case Rogers) it validated you have it then lets you watch it like you were in the US. It also works for eastlink, you go to www.wwe.network.com/validate (site is probably wrong) it will ask you to sign in with an account then validate your cable subscribtion and you're in, what pisses me off it you have to do it every time since its a subscription basis it won't remember it.

The network should be available to every Canadian cable company by the 28th of March. If you subscribe to the network you can log into the website and get all the same on demand content the US version has. I know that the on demand content isn't available to every Canadian cable company yet but it should be coming very soon.

I just got the WWE Network this weekend. I'm with Shaw Cablesystems and I'd been waiting almost a year for them to have it.
The Shaw Digital Program Guide shows me everything that will be broadcast on the live stream for a 2 week period. Needless to say, I set a great number of items to record on my PVR.
The moment the channel came live for me, I got to watch last year's Warrior HOF induction speech. Very emotional. Afterward I forget the program title, but it was a "Top 10" style show, highlighting wrestlers who wore a mask.
Later that night, I revisited Saturday Night's Main Event, which immediately made me become a child again (time was shortly after WrestleMania 3): - Savage vs George Steele in a Lumberjack match. - Jake Roberts vs Kamala w/ interference by Honky Tonk Man who was disguised under Kimchee's mask. - Ricky Steamboat the Intercontinental Champion vs Hercules Hernandes where Randy Savage interfered because HE wants to personally take the IC Title back from Steamboat. How about that? Somebody that desperately WANTS the IC Title at the cost of interfering with the other heel when it appears he might become victorious? That is how to place importance on a Title. - British Bulldogs vs Hart Foundation (C) 2 out of 3 falls match, for the Tag Team Championship. Fantastic tag team action and it lives up to anything on TV today.

I'm with Shaw and we don't have it on our local cable system. But that's not a surprise, their offerings are terrible if you live in a smaller community. Even with little interest, I'd probably kick in the 12 bucks to watch it on the Network if it was an option... but I'm definitely not paying $65 to watch it on PPV.
