I thought we were done with this guest host crap. That's one reason why I stopped watching when they had them on every week

Just finished Raw tonight on DVR and I am happy with the vast majority of the product tonight.
Brock was used perfectly, loved the long pull apart that took the entire roster and backstage staff to keep Cena and Brock from ripping each other apart. The pull apart was so good ("bleeding mouth!") and I'm a total mark for 'worked shoot' elements of segments, such as talent coming out in street clothes to help (half of them were in their gimmicks and merch, but the other half really drove home the 'reality' element into the promo.
Even Brock's promo with Matthews was spot on. Maybe those live Post Fight Conferences with Dana White to his left helped out, maybe not, whatever man. The promo loosely reminded me of Scott hall first interrupting Nitro with the "you know who I am" sensibility, the gift of signing established stars. Hope he remains as a Bad Ass Heel instead of as a Chicken Bleep Heel, even with the low blow and the fake handshake, they're booking him as the Returning Champion With A Dominant Prize Fighting Career (even if that's not exactly true post diverticulitis) and that should stick until he needs any refreshing.
I am very interested to see where this goes.
The CM Punk promo is the best work he's done on the mic IMO since he came back from the one week hiatus after MITB and possibly ever in the WWE. The infamous 'worked shoot' obviously resonates with the mainstream and hardcore alike, but as far as a pure storyline promo designed to emotionally connect the crowd to the motivation the performer has in overcoming his nemesis (see 'finally kick his ass'). Oh and he referenced Old Style, very classy.
And then Jericho...
*sigh*
He's been on fire this run, even bringing out another awesomely ridiculous jacket tonight. "DRINK IT UP YOU SONUVABITCH" with the beer pours and the ring presence. Goodness. If I were a kid in the crowd I would HATE him. As a guy in his 20s, I am just in awe of his performances most weeks. Somehow this felt even more nefarious than the whiskey bottle smash last week.
Poor Matt Bloom. I had high hopes for his push when I heard he was coming back after an extensive stay in Japan, which seems to help nearly every American worker. I even like the idea of the character he's working. And it's not like he is 'bad' in the ring, he moves well and seems to be much more crisp than his Albert and A-Train days, but his look is so off to me. The chants didn't seem to phase him at all, which is good. I don't like ref stoppages as a gimmick either, just a personal bias, and now two crowds have pretty much crapped on the head vice thing he does.
Quick hits:
The Brodus/Santino combo makes a lot of sense.
I miss Dolph Ziggler in the Main Event, but there's just no room at the top with B/Rock/Cena and Punk/Y2J reigning atop the Raw cards.
Finally Big Johnny has an entrance theme and video, very ridiculous (almost presidential) and fits his character so well. Otunga's narcissism continues to crack me up even if his ring work is still lacking after a year and a half on the main roster.
I miss Wade Barrett but it might turn out to be a blessing with all that's going on right now. Maybe he gets a big push when he comes back from injury in the Summer or Fall or whenever he is able to come back at 100%.
Great video package for the "End of an Era" match. I love the interviews they do with workers semi out of character.
No Daniel Bryan was a bummer but there's a live edition of SD! tomorrow, so maybe something good will happen! MAYBE!
Del Rio's Cross Arm Breaker still excites me. The Broski Boot Ryder gave him looked awesome.
I don't know what the plan is with Cody Rhodes getting repeatedly sabotaged in the ring with the Big Show coming out gloating. I guess that's better than what they are doing with The Miz at the moment, which is 'nothing' I think.

I like Raw except for the Three Stooges segment. I liked the Brock and Cena segment at the start of Raw which something like that Rock vs Cena needed. A bit shocked that they even mentioned UFC on Raw as well. Brock vs Cena should be saved for Summerslam which there is so much that can be done with this

I enjoyed Raw to an extent.
When I saw Lesnar was coming out at first, I was afraid they were going to make him JL's bitch. For the first time ever though, I was glad to see Cena come out, and the pull apart brawl worked really well in my opinion. I've always defended WWE's lack of blood since I always said it would make the presence of blood mean far more, and it really did with Cena tonight. I'm genuinely excited for Brock vs Cena, and I can't wait to see what numbers a B-ppv in Extreme Rules gets. That said, are they going to stick a stupid stipulation on this match straight away, given the gimmick of the PPV?

Enjoyed Brock punching Cena in the face. For anything else I am apprehensive.

The crowd is killing Lord Tensai in hindsight, i wish they brought this character in with a mask...I thnk eventually the Albert chants will increase so much it will determine the ultimate direction of the Tensai character.

The opening 10 minutes were pretty damn great. The pull apart was brilliantly done, having all the roster there to pull them apart made it so much more of a big deal, the blood was a great visual to go with it even though that seemed accidental. I'm glad they're going this way with Lesnar, his real life persona writes itself and it's very refreshing. Also makes Cena look great too. Gets bloodied up my the Ex UFC HW champ and wants some more of it. Really enjoyed this.
Tensai is fucking balls, though. Awful.

Any show that has John Cena v David Otunga as a main event automatically gets a thumbs down.Lesnars promo was great though - the guy just has tremendous charisma. The Punk/Jericho angle is entertaining as well.Apart from that and Lesnars right cross the rest of the show sucked balls.

Don't be an idiot, Cena Needs to Job out hard at Extreme rules in order to make brock come out looking like anything. If WWE was smart they would tell John Cena to go home for awhile and rest up, get ready for summer slam and don't let the door hit you on the way out. As much as I hate Randy Orton, I agree with that first caller on the law and think that WWE should put him up with Brock as they build towards summer slam. Orton vs Brock (Hell in a cell)?
