Saw the second show, was ok, nothing spectacular, a heel turn for no real reason explained, didn't make a lot of sense but we'll see, time will tell I guess.
Not a big fan of the trio that is associated with the "evil promoter" and he played less of a factor in this episode which was fine by me, concerntrate on the wrestling and things will be good!

For show #3, Chavo's in-ring promo explaining why he turned did not even make the final edit. Likely, that was because the promo was not that great & it dragged on a little too long.
In addition, I believe some of the crowd reaction, particularly the "This is Lucha" chant was added in post production.

Another thing from show #3 is that at the end of the main event, Konnan is seen clapping for about 3 seconds on top of the stairs. They did not zoom in or mentioned him, so I am sure nobody watching on tv even noticed.

If they didn't mention it, chances are Konnan may have just been there to watch the match as a "fan" instead of show production, though if that is the case they should be careful with camera angles and etc. to exclude him from shots. Either way, I haven't sene show #3 yet will look for it this weekend, if they cut out the promo may just have been because they felt it needed to be cut. Chavo is entertaining inside the ring but I was never a big fan of his promo's.

Chavo did do a sit-down interview with Vampiro to explain his heel turn. I liked it, but that's also because LU's backstage segments are one of its strengths.
I'm still not really sure who all these wrestlers are, but I like the style a lot better than CMLL and AAA.
I didn't notice Konnan at the end but anyways, in storyline he brought all of the wrestlers in the main event to LU, so it would make sense that he'd be there supporting them.
Right now LU is my third favourite wrestling promotion. New Japan has dropped to #4, but only because I can't access it on a regular basis.

Konnan is shown here on the screenshot at the top of the stairs. There is even a spotlight on him. Perhaps they will acknowledge him or show a closeup of him in a different episode or something.

something tells me that this is a show where every little thing like that means something. This is definitly a telle nouvelle. They pay attention to details. We will see.
Still mad about them yanking Ricochet from that Europe card, but these shows are certainly making it easier to get over it. Really impressed with the show so far. It's different, which is huge.

Can we house links to episodes of the show here? Really grateful for the first episode being accessible through this thread.

Episode 4 was pretty good.
I really like Sexy Star, and I like the fact that she did a promo in Spanish and they put subtitles over. I think if in the WWE they implemented something similar, especially for backstage segments with foreign wrestlers , we could get a slicker product. (i.e Hideo Itami speaking in Japanese backstage, but using his little english live)
A few other cool things. The follow up from last week. They had 3 luchadors wrestle last week in the main event, and here they gave Pentagon some mic time. He ended up losing to Phoenix, who debuted and looked pretty good. But the fact that Pentagon had a cool heel promo before hand, meant you'd be more invested in the outcome.
A backstage segment was devoted to Drago (awesome dragon costume dude), where he basically was coaxed to prove his worth. He didn't say a word, but there was good tension between him and Dario Cueto.
So yeah - it's not perfect, but I'm really happy about this product. I love that I can dissect segments , and there's still great in-ring where they take the time to make matches have importance. And they accomplish all this in an hour.

Just finished watching episode 3-4-5 of Lucha Underground (available at my link above for those who want to see it and are looking) I think John commented and he's right that it's a lot more wrestling, there is a few glaring missed shots in how they shot some of the matches where I noticed misses, but then some of the angles also make the moves look amazing.
3 solid weeks of wrestling, a few vignettes and overall good show quality. They brought in Drago and 2 more mexican wrestlers Fenix and a mini (I fogot his name) that really upped the wrestling talent.
Makes me laugh in a way, when Johnny Mundo or an "american" come on I groan because I am really impressed with the mexican wrestling talent of AAA and wherever else they pull them from.
Prince Puma has a match in the fifth show vs Big Rick and frankly, as fast as they can get rid of "Big Rick" the happier I will be, this guy is just a street brawler that kills talent.
Miles Moerte (sp?) is really impressive, he can sell and he can wrestle, he is a bigger luchadore but pretty impressive.
A woman on woman match and a Sexy Star also fights Eddie which evens up the score, overall impressive matches and impressive shows. I'll keep watching because so far I'm impressed.
One finaly comment that eally irked me, when you dive off a huge height, grab your arm in pain selling it like a mofo after the fall then race to the ring and amazingly the arm isn't sore enough for you to do another high risk move? I kinda lose belief you're hurt when you grab it later. I guess maybe... maybe you could attribute it to "adrenaline" but it looked more to me like the guy just forgot to sell his arm and then remembered....

Just found out El Rey network is available on Sling TV, which is an IPTV service operated by Dish network. It aims to be a true cable alternative and offers a handful of channels for $20 a month, such as ESPN, ESPN2, CNN, TNT, TBS and, the El Rey network. I can never find a live stream for Lucha Underground, and as I haven't had cable in years, I don't mind supporting a genuine online alternative, or at least giving it a test run anyway. It's a little pricey for the amount of channels, but it does stream to all of one's devices, which is cool. It's all live, no rewind or pause, which is not cool. www.sling.com/signup/channels
