I don't mind Taz don't get me wrong but he says the most idiodic things sometimes, or things he thinks makes sense but make absolutely no sense...
Post em here to have fun!
Example: Last night watching the TNA No Surrender:
Taz Quote: The wolves had to win one and this makes them One and O... (meaning 1 win 0 losses) In reality ALL teams have 1 win and 2 losses, but that didn't stop Tax from proclaiming "All teams are one and o..."

It just shows there is no leadership or hierarchy In TNA. He would have Vince in his ear directing the commentary flow during his WWE broadcast stint

It's just Taz phoning it in. In theory, he should be better without Vince in his ear telling him to make a joke about $9.99 or something irrelevant. But instead, Taz isn't too bothered about getting talent over or even of giving a good account of himself. ROH, for all of its production and booking faults, at least has good match commentary.

Thing is, I think Taz himself is good but you hit the nail on the head, he doesn't care. The art of "helping tell the story" has really been lost. In fact seeing the people commentary these days its pathetic, WWE's commentary team is a bunch of people arguing over who's best when they all suck lately. TNA has Taz and Tenay arguing and ignoring the matches, I will give them this at least they aren't killing the talent like WWE does at times.
ROH does a decent job of helping the talent tell their story, this art is long lost in most cases however.

TNA's commentary is not live though. They insert the voiceover long after the matches take place. That to me means that somebody must be approving what is being said. Maybe they are even directing Taz and Tenay what to say on-air. TNA yesterday was hinting at bringing in Josh Mathews so perhaps there will be a change in the booth.

She's not a micro-manager, even though she should be a bit more involved with what's going on. The most telling thing for me was when Tajiri was introduced and Taz announced him as being not better than himself. It just spoke volumes as to how Taz sees himself, which is not as an announcer. If he saw his role as being primarily an announcer, he would never have introduced a new wrestler as being worse than an announcer in the ring. It's just lazy calling and it doesn't keep the best interests of the overall product in mind, which should be his main objective. JR gave a shit every time he called anything. The difference is obvious and you can just tell when someone takes their work seriously or not.

It does not have to be Dixie who says something. Anybody who is part of creative could say something. Either that or somebody could just edit out silly comments. Nobody however, does anything as Taz says whatever he wants. Often it seems, Taz is just saying making private jokes that only he and Tenay understands.

The axe has to fall with the boss, though. Konan always goes on about how he used to do commentary in Spanish for TNA and he would just bury the guys he legitimately didn't like. Someone should definitely have caught that but when your boss doesn't care then you tend not to either. I'm sure that, upon occasion, people bring certain things to Dixie's attention. But she either trusts the wrong people's advice or just doesn't care. I tend to think it's the latter, because I can even recall live tapings of Impact that Dixie skipped to go watch NFL football games instead. This does not scream "micro-manager" to me.
