I don't think that people aren't giving him a chance, I think people are just acknowledging that fans are starting to get more behind Dean Ambrose as the top babyface than Reigns. Reigns has the look, but I don't think he cuts great promos yet and his offence isn't the best yet either. I think we've been spoiled in the promo department (Punk, Cena, Rock, Triple H) all examples of great baby face promo guys. If you look back there were guys before and after them that were top guys that weren't the best at promo work but good enough to get by. It's so hard to be a baby face in 2014 Bryan and punk being exceptions. I think if we just give it time Reigns will improve. The guy has enough physical charisma to make due for now as he's on the chase and give him time to develop a good promo. Reigns has been in the business for 3-4 years. Like I said we are set up for an exciting future in WWE. Let them get Reigns where they want him first. Ambrose will be in the picture shortly after that. The Rollins feud has done wonders for both guys and for once we won't look back at a group and pick out a "Marty Janetty" of the group as these three will be the next generation of top guys. Reigns is the first with the baby face rocket on his back. Rollins with the heel rocket and Ambrose will be the next one with either or on his.

It's all about connecting with the audience. Bryan Danielson did it, Dean Ambrose is doing it extremely well right now, but Roman Reigns just hasn't. Maybe he will in time but he's certainly not there right now. Not like Dean Ambrose is.
What I like most about Ambrose's character, and I think it's what most fans like too, is his unpredictability factor. You never really know what he's going to do. I would continue to play that up, maybe even more so than they have already! Take it to Austin levels where Dean cuts a promo from his home, all banged up and stuff, but then it turns out that he cut that promo in the back and he's actually live in the arena!
And Vince Russo's comments are funny. Were the fans telling you to have Reverse Battle Royals too? Is that why you went in that direction? lol

Ambrose > Reigns. Sad thing is Cena > Ambrose > Reigns. I see Ambrose with a longer career, but Reigns having a Batista or Rock career.

Unless the crowds show up in grey wife beaters, Ambrose is not going to get the big push. A great TV match with the current MITB guy and in injury angle to close out the show, so that he can go shoot a WWE-produced movie? Sounds like a push to me. Does Reigns have a shirt?

I didn't know this 'One versus All' was a thing 'til I saw the Network doc on The Shield, seemingly Reigns has said it more than once. I swear, I do actually pay attention to the product.

Reigns' merch is not good. Not like the Ambrose "Unstable" shirt or the Rollins infamous "SR" shirt are any better. Just awful merch collectively for the former Shield members. As for the main event push for Reigns, I don't think it's a coincidence that we haven't seen Bryan on TV in nearly three months even though his name is being constantly used to get Brie Bella over. They're not going to let what happened to Batista happen again in the lead up to Wrestlemania 31, no way.

I think that of the three, the Ambrose hoodie is easily the best - the anarchy A, the Parental Advisory-style logo on the back like he had as Moxley....his is the only one where it seems like somebody was trying to do something good.

Honestly, and I might be in the minority, he's growing off me since they split The Shield:
His ring work isn't at the level of a main eventer, his singles matches are sell, sell, sell until the big comeback (which was covered well in the Shield with the hot tag) and the 3 moves of doom, which he does very well, I'll give him that.
His promo isn't great, his scripted lines are delivered OK at best. "Believe That!" is a Teddy Long catchphrase and ain't catching fire and the fist posing is not very appealing.
I also think that if he's groomed for Mania, he should dump the security guard attire and find his own identity, not very marketable.
I still think Ambrose will surpass him eventually.

Maybe Ambrose will go The Rock route, where he can parlay his upcoming film role into a full-fledged Hollywood career.
