this is from the annoucement yesterday that Global Force Wrestling will be teaming up with 25/7 productions
"It's easy to get excited about Global Force Wrestling when you get to know Jeff Jarrett and see his passion and understand his vision. He's eager to bring a new perspective to professional wrestling, and we're eager to help him achieve that goal."
The press release also talked about how GFW has over 500 talents in their database. The Hollywood Reporter did an article on GFW and notes that they plan on running 52 weeks per year as competition to WWE and TNA. Jarrett and Broome are currently shopping TV rights to matches -- which will air both live and live-to-tape -- as well as unscripted fare. Broome says interest has been high from both major broadcast and cable networks.
"It just won't be a bunch of wrestling matches; we have exciting announcements to come. TNA or WWE right now is match after match after match. Global Force Wrestling is not going to do that. There will be matches but there will be a lot more and a lot more variety placed into the actual events that will be really innovative and fresh," Broome said.
Grrrrrrrreat! so were gonna get a wrestling company with no matches? or well one then a bunch of other shite?
What the fuck is this thing? What is the upside of Jarrett doing this?

Its a reality show. Like that Midget Wrestling on TruTV. I kinda think GFW will never start.

i would think, that is is kinda raw mixed with something like total divas or like "the ultimate fighter" (or the recent tough enough, if you will) with a bunch of "behind the scenes" story/training and living together.
i think he just trying something different and managed somebody to get the cash for it.
i am like wai (i think). i will watch the first one or two episodes. but if it hasn't somebody i care about (for example: colt, steen, maybe bad bones (the german one who was on impact for like two weeks)) and everybody is just some john doe from the middle of nowhere, i doubt i will watch. provided there is a way for me in germany to watch...

I was legit pissed off as a kid when The Roadie was revealed as the singer. It made Roadie the #1 heel to me and I hated how he was pushed as a babyface.

Double J will never have the swagger to pull off something half as good as Total Divas.

Jeff Jarrett's TNA would have folded in 3 months if not for Dixie's dad coming in and saving the company.

The video that stole music from Nolan's Batman series and a clip from a Rocky movie was all it took for me to get less interested in this. Shame too cause we could really use another good wrestling promotion.

When JJ was in the WWF and they said he had a CD called "ain't I great?", I actually called record and cd stores to buy it (I was 6 IT WAS REAL TO ME DAMNIT!)
