This was an average Impact. From now on the LAW should bleep out bischoff when referring to Eric Bischoff. What someone needs to explain to me is why TNA didn't use hair angles with Kaz or Roode? What is going to keep guys from challenging the world champion every week? I always think AJ is about to clean the ring with chemicals with those gloves. AND bring back the best promo guys on impact, Montgomery Gentry, because Jeff Hardy and Ken Anderson shouldn't be allowed to touch microphones. 2/5

I give Impact a 5.5/10, just short of the Milton RatingĀ®. I enjoyed Bobby Roode and James Storm's promos and the triple threat main event was pretty good for a short match. Rob Van Dam looks like he's lost a little weight and was very good in the ring tonight. They still really have to change his entrance music, it's atrocious. It can only be a positive for the company if they have a motivated RVD, it will be interesting to see if he wins the title with James Storm still in the picture.

I enjoyed this episode of Impact. The Garrett Bischoff stuff was kept to a minimum. The main event and Knockouts tag were pretty good matches, as was the Aries/Morgan/Bully/Crimson match. I'm intrigued by the possibilities of Hogan's one per month title challenge shows, and I like that the TV title will be defended more often (every week may be a bit much, but it's better than only seeing it on pay-per-view with no build; it is the TELEVISION title, after all). Unfortunately, this kills the No Devon Streak dead. Sorry, John.
I was also very happy to see Joseph Park get a little physical. Could it be the start of him showing a split personality?
Bobby Roode and James Storm's segments were both very good, and I think I'm now in the camp that believes Roode winning at Lockdown was the right thing to do. There are a few ways they can go with the Rood/Storm feud that interest me. Too bad none of them will involve a hair vs. hair match, because - like Frankie Kazarian - Bobby apparently already already lost one of those somewhere else.

A fine show. Not too bad but not great either. Just fine. I don't understand why Anderson is a babyface. Everything about him is a heel. His mannerisms are very heelish, as are his promos, and really everything about him. He would be mildly better as a heel. I died laughing when I heard Easy E's name being bleeped every time they said it. Garrett is still annoying. Devon appeared on TV, much to John's dismay. The opening tag match was awful. Morgan and Crims are shit. It's amazing how bad Morgan after being in this business for over 10 years. The Angle/Styles match was going along fine until the abrupt break. I dont care for Kaz and Styles. The womens match was fine. Rosita should be a babyface. Tessmacher looked great tonight. The main event was fine and we finally see something fresh in the World Tile mix. Hopefully it motivates RVD. Oh and Roode's haircut looked good. It suits him. Shame he didn't get the Pollock look. Overall a fine show.6/10. Have a great night guys!

So let me get this straight, for this once a month challenge deal..you can challenge anyone? why in god's name woulkd you challenge ANYONE but Bobby Roode...I wanna see the first guy who comes out and challenges.....Mexican America or something. Also when people say Bully Ray murdered the X-Division, they meant it. Austin Aries didn't even get an entrance during the chapmions segment, but Gail kim did? I guess TNA did get their second show after all...it will play once a month and be called NXT ImpacT. Lastly, one thing I did enjoy, and it was such a little thing, was the bleeping of Bischoff's last name.

This was typical TNA fair which meant I watched most of it on fast forward.
Crimson and Morgan working against each other looks like a NXT match.
AJ Styles has to be considering leaving this company, between how he's used and the fact he has to help build a hack like Garrett Bischoff is such a waste.
A couple weeks ago I finished Flair's book and it's really weird hearing Ric cut promos putting over Bischoff as being such a great person and a legend in the business. I know everything's a work but quite a 180 and from the book it sounded like Ric legitimately thought Bischoff was a cancer to WCW. Maybe it's more a product of the fact Flair has money problems.
I like RVD is back but I really don't know if he has much left to offer.
Overall I'd give it a 4/10

A couple thoughts... give this show the Chyna's Junk in the middle...
- Great promo by Storm! Loved his passion, James Storm showed exactly why he is one of the best things in professional wrestling today. Great promo finish by questioning whether HIS luck ran out, dropping the microphone and leaving dejected.
- I really was enjoying Roode's intro promo, especially the way he slighted the fan heroes he has beaten... so, naturally they went and TNA'd it by delivering Ken Anderson and Jeff Hardy? RVD's renewed contract has suspect clauses.
- I like some elements of the concept of the monthly Open Fight Night Impact episodes... why wouldn't the guest wrestler challenge for the top male or female championship? This needs to be answered every month? I could armchair book plenty of passable solutions, but nothing I would want to watch. I'm curious, but pessimistic with this product about the "Hogan" announcement.

Keeping off the heels of a terrible ppv, i can honestly say....how is this company still around. although i will say Open fight night sounds like it could have potential but knowing TNA, it will be directionless and no one will care. Looks like Devon will be on tv every week now. Solid promo by Storm. Dont know why AJ deals with this company. so much potential but just like what will happen with Open Fight Night, he is directionless. 4.5/10

Overall I thought this was a pretty good episode of Impact. I have read all the HORRID reviews of Lockdown from this past weekend and I must say from what seemed like an awful pay per view...this episode hopefully got a little bit of the stench away. I really like Bobby as world champion and I think he should be well on his way for more great title defenses. I've always been a supporter of Rob Van Dam throughout his career so it's also good to see him getting another shot.
Did anyone else get a sudden cut out to black during the Angle/Styles match? Sheesh. Come on guys, what the hell...
I don't know what you guys will think of Hulk Hogan's "announcement" from tonight but I REALLY like the concept so far. It will be interesting to say the least and considering how much you guys complain that WWE gives no merit to their titles it's nice to see a little bit of effort in the right way as far title matches go. I have always admired the television title from seeing it the first time in the old WCW and I like that it's always going to defending on TV. It'll be a great way to put people over in the future.
Overall, good matches...decent segments and hopefully a step in the right direction...I hope I don't end up eating my words when I say I like "Open Fight Night."
Just wanted to say, I love listening to your show guys. Keep up the great work brothers!

Decent show tonight...
Call me crazy, but I'm starting to like Crimson, he's still a train wreck for the most part but I like the attitude he's developed.
I was hoping for more between Kurt and AJ, but it was just a pointless effort to continue an uninteresting storyline.
On to the point of the entire show, the announcement of the open fight night. I like the premise at least, but we'll see what they do with it. Why Devon would be excited about being forced to defend his title every week though is beyond stupidity even for a babyface.
Speaking of Devon, could we get him a better finisher than a spinebuster? Seems very anticlimactic. If we're supposed to believe Gunner is some kind of a badass, why he's booked to lose to Devon is lost on me.
I liked the James Storm segment, but I was kind of hoping he'd be interrupted by Roode to maybe setup another match despite this 3 way for #1 contendership. That said the way I see this playing out is Storm takes a month, maybe 2 off TV, then comes back for an Open Fight Night, challenges Roode out of the blue and beats him for the belt on Impact.
I don't know what to make of that 3-way dance. I don't really care that RVD won, but it just felt rather stupid. Nice backslide though.
A Nate Milton approved 6/10.

Impact was a decent show, but I have fears that eventually that James Storm WILL win the title and yet turn heel for no particular reason ala Kurt Angle, Robert Roode, Mr. Anderson, Jeff Harvey, and all the other newly face champions (with the exception of Sting of course) I'm optimistic about the future of TNA because I read the spoilers and whatnot for the following weeks; but alas it will be all for not in the end when they find some way to screw it up. But at least we get to see Devon - and where's the Pope? 5/10. First time contributor; please read my comments. I think I'm the second black guy that listens to you guys in the states other that TNate. Upwards and onwards.

I used to be a long time TNA fan from the mid-2000s. I must say, the product now is barely watchable. Not because of booking or because of talent, but because to watch it with a brain and realize that Garret B***off is the man with the Mic in a ring with RVD, Mr. Kennedy, and AJ Styles is impossible to take serious. With that said, I would like to point out that its amazing how much talent has come and gone through TNA doors since I started following the promotion. We always talk about building stars in the industry, but TNA seems to have their own philosophy - throw as much shit against the wall and see what sticks. imagine if the WWE cycled in talent as much as this company - how would anyone ever be built? Anyway, I want to enjoy TNA like I used to, but I'm sorry, I just cannot.
