"Just because I clearly don't want her, doesn't mean it's open season!"- Daniel Bryan Another just-decent show elevated by a strong crowd. Nothing too noteworthy overall. Most of the comedy bits/squashes were a waste of time and the Jericho-Punk feud is really reaching now. Oooooooh, you spied on the dude going into a pub. How scandalous. Punk vs Henry was a solid opener, though. The Daniel Bryan-Kofi match was great and I really hope WWE keeps Daniel Bryan heel. He's such a great prick (see: above quote) and fans who like him will cheer anyway. The Brock promo was fantastic and this is how he should be booked the entire year he's here. Keep the sombreros, mariachi bands, milk and kissing other men out of the equation, please. The Lord Tensai vs Cena match was whatever and I guess this will be his feud after Extreme Rules. Tensai needs to email Muta or Kabuki to ask about the finer points of poison misting because it's like he's swallowing a water balloon and spitting it out. The mist needs to be darker and more concentrated. Oh yeah and if this is really Lesnar's WWE attire that's pretty funny.

Punk vs Henry was really good and Henry didn't look like a chump because Punk gave him time to shine. Such an alien concept in the WWE...you only usually see that sort of thing in a place like ROH these days. Jericho vs Punk was meh unless they plan on giving Jericho the title and having Punk chase until Summerslam. Bryan vs Kofi was good, made better by the hot crowd. The Brock "interview" was a really to-the-point way of explaning the reasoning behind Brock's return. It's too damn bad that Cena is still smirking like an idiot. Brock needs to KILL Cena in a short match at the PPV and move on. Cena doesn't need to get a win back. And Brock needs to be turned heel by killing top faces left and right until having a match with Taker at the next WM. Untill he mashes Cena into goo and moves on, however, he's still a face to the fans, who all pretty much hate Cena with a passion. Tensai beating Cena means nothing, because the character is just not working. Poor Albert should have stayed in Japan. The Strongbow piece was nice. Once and a while the WWE can be classy if they try hard enough. The rest of the show was typical who-gives-a-crap? stuff. The R-Truth Sherlock shit was enough to make me change the channel. Does Vince or whoever really think this is funny? 6 out of 10.

Other than the Brock Lesnar taped promo, which was kind of unique, I didn't care for this show at all. Daniel Bryan is supposed to be a top heel, yet he was playing a complete babyface for the majority of his match, even encouraging fans to chant 'Yes.' Ziggler, Ryder and Swagger continue to fall down the bottomless pit. I actually liked the Punk and Jericho angles for the last two weeks, but this week was kind of an awkward exchange with Punk going in and out of the bar and everything. The main event was about as puzzling as it gets. Not only do they give away a match for free that they could have build towards at a pay per view, but they also give away the exact same match type that we're expected to pay for in two weeks. And not to mention that the guy who's in the main event of the pay per view just jobbed to a guy who doesn't even have a match. That whole thing made me wonder if Vince Russo had re-signed. I can understand if they're doing something where Cena starts getting frustrated after a string of losses and takes a brief sabbatical from the ring. But even if that were the case, they should have had the Tensai match after the Lesnar match. The way they did it, Cena now has zero momentum going into that match.

Lots of great stuff on Raw tonight. Great to see that Yesamania is still running wild, and renaming the LeBell lock to the Yes Lock is a great move. In order to get out, you gotta yell YES! It does feel slightly uncomfortable cheering for a verbally abusive misogynist bully, but this verbally abusive misogynist bully puts on incredible matches when given the opportunity to shine. I guess I'm one of many wrestling fans with messed up priorities. The World Title match was great as well. A friend of mine who doesn't watch wrestling was over and said she might start watching because of CM Punk. The biggest surprise of the night was the fact that John Cena lost a match. He couldn't overcome the odds. Maybe soon it will mean something when everyone says that Cena will overcome the odds. Most everything else was pretty decent. 7 out of 10.

Hey, there's a red phone booth, we must be in England! I thought it was a hit-or-miss show tonight. Liked Punk vs. Henry, loved the Lesnar package (which I guess made sense - he's back and he wants to knock Cena off the top spot) and liked that the Bryan/AJ storyline clearly has more legs. Hated the Santino stuff, Ziggler wasted, R-Truth stupidity but above all else I hate that Cena is not feuding with Lesnar, he's feuding with John Fucking Laurinaitis. Lesnar is just Big Johnny's proxy to get rid of Cena for whatever unstated reason. Lesnar should basically just be playing the same role that heel Batista played at the end of his run - he's here to win TITLES! He's here to make MONEY - only with the added bonus of being UFC champion redneck unstoppable monster Brock Lesnar. A decided 5/10 for the show tonight. As an aside, love the latest twist in the Foley/Dean Ambrose drama with Foley blogging that he refuses to work with Ambrose for failing to abide by Foley's wish to leave his kids out of things (which is a work...right?)

So we get a raw with the good, the bad and the ugly of WWE the past while. Punk/Henry, Kofi/Bryan and the Lesnar shoot style interview was the redeeming points, while Sherlock truth and anything Otunga is involved with was almost enough to make me keep it on hockey. As for the ugly, the Cena/Tensai ending made me wonder if either Muta or Tajiri did mouth to mouth to pass the green mist over to tensai from under the ring...and of course the continuing adventures of brodus and his companions, Thang 1 and Thang 2... really they need to put the numbers on their asses to really make me laugh...give this one a 6 out of ten, with the crowd saving this one...Richard Lee

Tonight's raw was pretty solid. I always love the crowd in london. Crowds outside the USA are always the best. But the show felt a little flat to me. There wasnt any build to anything this week, so there isnt much too talk about. Sooooo...ummm...yeah good talk... 6 out of 10

The crowd was great and that made a huge difference as always. The "smart" crowds seem to be the ones that will carry on the yes chants sort of reminds me how different the crowds were between Canada and the US during the Hart Foundation v. America angle in the late 90s.
The Punk-Henry match was really good for a tv match, complete with a unique finish by Punk. Also, really enjoyed the Jericho promo after the match even though evidentially Jericho is now Punk's stalker.
Lesnar's promo was great he differentiated himself from the rest of the roster so much and I'm so glad WWE mentions the UFC to highlight Brock as being a legit ass kicker. As someone who's part of the crowd that is so tired of Cena and his lame character Brock in one promo set himself up as the perfect anti-cena. Then Cena followed it up with well the "same old shit." My only complaint is they involved Laurenitis in the angle as far as I can remember there has never been an explanation as to why he would be out to get Cena.
Bryan-Kofi was solid as well. Cena-Tensai was enjoyable too and I was shocked Cena lost. Cena has lost more in the past month than he has in some entire years which I personally think is a great thing for his character he had way too much of a Hogan in the 80s thing going before this year. That said the show of course had some terrible parts mainly the Sherlock Holmes spots.
I would give this show a solid 7 out of 10 though.
I have to say the Extreme Rules PPV has me more interested in a B show than last years Money in the Bank.

Anyone else think that they may as well have had the entire heel roster come out to help Tensai? I thought the match was good, but Tensai needed the help of his escort and Otunga to put Cena away? Some unstoppable monster... I realize that Cena couldn't lose clean to Tensai, as this would eliminate him as any manner of contender for Lesnar, but this just makes Albert look weak. He can destroy low level talent, but needs an army to put away a top contender?
They should have booked Otunga to face Cena and had Tensai do a run in and level him. Cena takes the loss and has a program to transition into after Lesnar.

After last weeks crowd completely killing the excitement I had when RAW was in Miami, London didn't disappoint and I had fun again with tonight's show. It wasn't a spectacular episode, but there was a lot of great content here. I'm still exasperated with the Punk/Jericho feud but I'm sure their match at Extreme Rules will have great drama, especially with it being Chicago and Punk's family purported to make an appearance. As of now, however, I'm enjoying Punk/Henry's series of matches more than any recent feud. Who knew they'd have awesome chemistry?
The rest of the show was up and down. Otunga/Santino was very poor. Epico/Primo vs. Big Show/Khali made absolutely no sense. Ryder's momentum is completely dead. Ziggler has fallen hard. But then, the show was ultimately saved by the opening bout, the Lesnar promo, the continuation of the Bryan/AJ storyline and the surprisingly good Cena/Tensai match. Despite the silliness of most of the mid-card, they've totally sold me on the PPV - the card is already stacked.

Thumbs up for me! The first RAW I've watched in a long while where I might get the comments in.
I thought this episode was pretty entertaining from start to finish. Some great matches and in ring action with Kofi/Bryan and Punk/Henry. Some promos were quite campy, and Tensai's was terrible. But, Punk/Jericho's diatribe, the Daniel renaming his finisher segment, and the angry Cena were great. The crowd reacted in a fantastic way throughout the night, and when they took control of the tone of what we watched made this "smark" happy. I could nitpick more, but you guys have been doing that for about an hour by now, and that's why I tune in. The new boards rule! Thanks for the move!

Thought it was an okay episode. The opening match was great though, Punk and Henry seem to really click in the ring, I actually thought the crowd slightly took away from this match, they seemed to be a complete mark for themselves with their chanting and this is coming from a londoner. santino and otunga did well, cena cut a good promo and the kofi/bryan match was solid. Brock Lesnars sit down interview showed lots of fire which is good for the feud, hopefully they can smash it next week. I think Lord Tensai was good tonight and hopefully him pinning cena builds to a good feud down the road.
Anyway, decent raw but they really need to smash it next week in the go home show for extreme rules and i hope this losing steak for Cena could lead to him becoming a darker character. I really think the wwe is in position to really catch fire as a company but i'm pretty sure their going to fuck it up. lets hope not eh?
keep up the great work guys

The highlight of the show tonight was the Brock Lesnar interview. It had the UFC prime time feel to it which made it feel special. Going into tonight I was only planning on buying UFC on Sat. Thanks to Brock, I will be purchasing Extreme Rules also. Keep up the good work guys!

Awesome show tonight! WWE is keeping the hits coming week after week. I'm really enjoying everything Brock Lesnar is doing right now. He's totally turning Chicken Shit into Chicken Salad with having a quick program with John Cena with a Pay Per View match immediately taking place and they've already locked my money down... Pun intended after buying that so-so Lockdown PPV based off of one match.
The Punk and Jericho storyline is going exactly where I want it to go. I'm hoping that Punk does embrace alcohol and over the course of the year becomes a huge alcoholic where he even pulls a "Jeff Hardy" for one of the Summer Pay Per Views. Then eventually Stone Cold enters the picture and tells Punk he used to admire him for his strong ethics and beliefs, trying to intervene Punk off of alcohol but Punk lashes out at Stone Cold for the pot calling the kettle black. That would be a great way to start the feud for Wrestlemania.
I love the name change of the LaBell Lock to the Yes Lock, great explanation by Bryan otherwise it would have been stupid. And it was great to see Daniel Bryan finally get a spot on Raw especially with the London crowd eating out of the palm of his hand. YES! YES! YES! YES! YES! YES!
And I love the new board, looks awesome and is way better than that junky Facebook!
